Kerry promotes staying the course in Iraq |
|
At least, according to a thread in GD that has at least 12 recs so far.
There is nada, zero, zilch excuse for that level of ignorance. None.

Kerry who? Not our JK. You got my attention, WEL, but I'm in a fabulous mood, and I don't want to raise my blood pressure this early. I'll check later. How could anyone on DU not know the Senator's position on Iraq?

Someone who never supported a Democrat mis-characterizing Kerry's position! This gives a whole new meaning to the chaos that Bush/Rumsfeld created in Iraq, and also to Kerry's words about the consequences of the admin's policies: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2881097&mesg_id=2881097

4. So, are there 2 John Kerrys |
|
John is a common name and there are Kerrys in my phone book in NJ (no Johns though).
Seriously this is beyond stupid - Kerry has been out there more than anyone speaking against staying the course.

"Go back to your Kerry Sandbox and leave this to the adults."
Wow. :eyes: You know, it's odd that a "newbie" would refer to the "Kerry Sandbox."
(Dana Carvey Church Lady voice) He couldn't have an....agenda... could he?????
Edit: Mods deleted it, thank God.

To me, that's further evidence that it's an anti-Kerry troll rather than someone who was just profoundly ignorant.
How pathetic that they're so desperate as to make up bald-faced LIES that can be disproven with a matter of two or three mouse clicks.

21 rec's for a poster who will probably be "swinging back across the aisle," an obvious Pretendocrat. Wouldn't the correct response be disgust?

13. Clearly "progressive purism" doesn't count |
|
when someone is posting lies and libel about Kerry.
I honestly think I prefer the DU of a year ago, when someone who all but threatened to jump ship after the midterms would be flamed off the board. Besides the lie about JK, that post is an obvious threat. The poster is saying that if the Dems don't do what he thinks they should do, he'd "swing back across the aisle."
Well, don't let the door hit you in the ass.
I am utterly fed up with that attitude from the Kos cult (not referring to everyone with an account there, but the circle jerk of fawning sheep), I'm fed up with it from the lefty purists, and I'm apparently going to get fed up with it from these Republicans who are temporarily voting Democratic until their true party purges bushco and replaces them with an untainted-by-corruption but equally ideologically foul freshman class of neocons. These stupid threats of "if you don't follow my whims, I won't vote for you" are really obnoxious.
I have a very pragmatic approach. If disgruntled Republicans vote Democratic, I certainly won't turn down their votes. But the party is not obligated to accommodate the Republican worldview, including the penchant for disregarding the truth.

The stale reek of desperation clings to the anti-Kerry forces these days; they know that, try as they might (and oh have they tried), that damned nuisance John Kerry just won't go away! They're only going to get more vicious, nasty, and outright false as Kerry continues to build momentum - it's all they CAN do, now. They know the tide is turning and they are becoming desperate and panicked. The more outrageous their lies become, the more obvious their agenda will be to everyone else.

which is very insulting, or Edwards, Clark, Hillary, and so on while dumping on Kerry. And their constant obsession over 2008 instead of 06. They are clearly afraid.

He's a supposed ex-Republican and he is openly lying about Kerry and sniping at the entire Democratic party. Yet people in GD welcomed him with open arms. WTF?

don't care who calls themselves what.
but it claimed ot be fearful if Dems get into office.
some time ago i noticed some angry conservatives coming into the Dem party. actually not into the Dem party as much as the left. you can see them spouting right wing hate in things such as immigration threads.

This is one of those strawmen post! The issue is not the very real, very corrupt Republican Party, but the corrupt party the Democrats could become if they "seize" power!

also, when confronted with the truth about Kerry's position on Iraq the person dismisses it by saying it couldn't pass. wtf ? does that mean anyone who is anti war should be dismissed since Bush still went to war. it makes no sense.
and his Kerry staying the course is such bs anyways. no matter how you look at it. it's one thing to criticize the IWR vote but to claim he was calling for staying the course is just a lie. and why he would pick out Kerry out of everyone else when Kerry has actually been one of the biggest to make withdrawal an issue shows it's dishonesty..
i just looked at the thread a bit more and someone posted in the end about how this person wants to try to be some noble great person yet they themselves were conservative and only want to get them out since THEY were lied to. it has nothing to do with what is best for the people which is what TRUE Democrats do.
and when called out like this he responds with the "so you don't believe in diversity" crap that i regularly hear from freeper trolls who think they should be allowed to post bs and get away with it because as they claim they will vote dem.
