I need research help. Please!!
I want to do a letter to the editor, and include some reference to the amendments Senator Kerry had introduced in the recent past on behalf of our soldiers and veterans. If someone could even just direct me in the right direction that would very helpful.

Thank you.

2. Where did this come from and is there more?
Go to the Congressional bill search site: http://thomas.loc.gov/bss/d109query.html
(Do not pull hair out, site is difficult to use.)

Enter the word "Veterans" as the search term.

Pick a Congress. (The above came up in the 109th (Weasel) Congress.)

Select Kerry, John F. (MA) as the Senator

Go to Search in Legislative Process"
and select

Introduced in the Senate

Leave everything else as is.

You have to do this for each Congress to find all the bills.

4. For some general info on what he's done:
The POW/MIA, Agent Orange, and Veterans paragraphs here are good.
http://kerry.senate.gov/v3/about/record.html

(Remember that he negotiated the agreement with the Vietnamese that has returned remains of Americans (including Governor Dean's bothers) to families - giving them closure.)

He was also a co-founder of Vietnam Veterans of America - which has done most of the advocacy work for Vietnam vets.
