What can truthtellers do in this strange alternative reality world? What scares me is knowing that this has greatly increased the personal cost of being honest and the rewards turning honesty and values on their head. What I don't get in all this is what they want to do with the power they have.

Imagine such statements as politicians shouldn't tell jokes (Bush WMD joke didn't elicit such a response)! Politicians should be careful about telling the truth! If they can't handle the truth they're no better thant the lying Repubs!
