It looks like John Kerry generated a tsunami in New Hampshire!
NH has been traditionally Republican and the State Senate hasn't been in Democratic control since 1911!

First we go blue in 2004, by voting for Kerry for President.

And now...all that NH Kerry love is paying off big time. Bass is ousted and it looks like Bradley is in trouble. (It's still too close to tell for certain, but Carol Shea-Porter is widening her lead over Bradley, which is currently about 5k votes.)

And at this point it looks like NH is going to have control of both houses and gain 2 or 3 Executive Council Members.

This is a HUGE Democrat takeover in NH. Nobody thought this would happen. Hell, nobody thought this COULD happen! The shocked and depressed NH Repugs are in mourning.

And it is in no small part to Senator John Kerry. He was here time and time again. He campaigned for Hodes, Shea-Porter and many local candidates.

THANK YOU, SENATOR KERRY! THANK YOU FOR MY NEW, DEEP BLUE STATE! SIR, YOU ROCK!

:woohoo:

P.S. HERE IS THE BEST PART AND A WORD TO THE WISE: PAUL HODES WAS DEFEATED IN HIS FIRST ATTEMPT TO UNSEAT CHARLIE BASS.

DEFEATED IN 2004.

NOBODY SAID HE WAS A LOSER. THEY SAID HE CAME CLOSE (EVEN THOUGH HE LOST BY 20 POINTS).

THEY SAID HE'D BE THE BEST CANDIDATE TO WIN THIS TIME BECAUSE HE FACED BASS BEFORE AND LEARNED FROM THE EXPERIENCE.

NOW HE'S RUN AGAIN AND HE'S WON. HE DEFEATED CHARLIE BASS WITH KERRY'S HELP.

INTERESTING, ISN'T IT?

9. A lot of people in NH are very grateful to JK.
He campaigned here as much (if not more) than anywhere and look how it turned out.

2008! It begins NOW!

11. Today was good for women in Congress too and that is good for
America. Women don't start wars and women care for children and the poor.

Carol Shea-Porter is the first woman EVER elected to Congress from New Hampshire. That is amazing. Nobody thought she had a prayer.

Congratualtions to Paul Hodes and Carol Shea-Hodes.

Washington was a House of Lies and we needed to clean House!

8. Thanks, I love being a blue neighbor!
And it is thanks to JK! Remember the JJ dinner and all that enthusiasm. NOBODY else who campaigned here generated anything like that. I LOVE your Senators, but someday we might have some great ones of our own here. We are heading in the right direction.

And the State Senate...I can't wait to see the final tally. This is going to be so HUGE for 2008.

:happy dance:
