3. It's going to be great!
They're painting Nancy Pelosi out to be this wackadoo San Francisco loon. They're not betting on the fact that she's an Italian Catholic grandmother and more in line with regular Americans than they are.

And Webb? Did you see him on Lou Dobbs? Conservative?? lol. I haven't felt so positive about this country since I was a little kid. It's going to be awesome awesome awesome!!

4. Plus, something's up with Chris Matthews.
I've seen some of his show the past two days, and each time when he's talked about 2008 he's brought up Kerry - and not in a negative way. It's like he has something to say about Kerry, as if he's bothered by the pundits dismissal of him.

Tonight it was in context of talking about McCain - with all the other idiots gushing (including Jim VandeHei - who I used to think was intelligent, but who sounded like an idiot on McCain.)

The McLaughlin Group was pure bliss - Tony Blankley could only sputter, and Lawrence O'Donnell said, "I'm just here to gloat." :D

5. As I think I mentioned on another thread, but during '04 campaign, Matthews
referred to a private talk he'd had with Kerry. And how impressed, CONVINCED he was with Kerry's DEEP, DEEP conviction to be President...that JK thoroughly convinced him he WOULD BE President. It was not that Matthews planned on believing it, but that something in Kerry's gut-level, steely-eyed conviction that convinced Matthews then, and he's reflecting on it now...now as America reviews its potential Dem contenders for '08.

6. Interesting -

I'd forgotten that.

I saw the last five minutes of Matthews' Sunday talk show. No mention of Kerry, but he spent it talking about what a great senate majority leader Hillary would make. He wasn't doing his crazed Hardball number, either - he was serious.

Transcript's not up yet, but when it is, it will be here: http://www.thechrismatthewsshow.com/transcripts/transcripts.shtml

7. Jk also had a hardball interview this fall (2006)
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 12:07 PM by MBS
It was one of Kerry's most fluent interviews, on Iraq. JK was just on fire--knowledge and passion pouring out of him. He was brilliant. Chris Matthews looked stunned-- just blown away. Matthews paused a few seconds, then looked into the camera and said, "Well, there you have it". . it's also obvious that Matthews has done a total 180 on the Iraq war. from his recent remarks, it's obvious to me he now realizes it was a huge mistake, and wants us out ASAP.

I think that recent interview must have contributed to Matthews' apparent thoughts (both explicit and implied) on Kerry.

8. He looked like that in Nov/Dec 2005
as well when Kerry spoke of soldiers not knowing the language and the culture doing the S&D missions.
