So Al Gore and John Kerry have the highest no chance (definitive when compared to the 10% never heard of for McCain and Giuliani) and Hillary Clinton, who is registering 45% no chance, is supposed to be the best chance against Giuliani and McCain, who are registering 13 fewer points in the no chance column.

1. kind of surprised by Gore's numbers
with Kerry the last week stuff might have had some impact in this . but the Gore thing doesn't make much sense to me.

there are some real morons out there if they havne't heard of Giuliani and McCain.

do people who have never heard of them or even Obama and Edwards yet really vote ?

6. blm said at this time in 1999 Elizabeth Dole was beating Al Gore in the polls
that REALLY puts these early polls into perspective for me. i mean, Elizabeht Doleeeeeeeeeee????

she said it was because Dole gave some speech at her husbands 1996 convention and the media whores like her.

okkkkkkkkkk

11. this shows me that Kerry wasn't damaged by the botched joke:
At first seeing this cartoon from an Akron paper made me mad:

And then I thought, hey, if this is all they can say: that he screws up a joke from time to time--then he's come through just fine. I tmight even endear him to some who thought he was "too perfect".

14. JK does NOT have man breasts!
This toon doesn't do him justice. Fine, charicature a feature that stands out, but don't put anything where there isn't anything. Man breasts....I swear!!

13. Sorry, that is HILARIOUS. Um -- Kerry did screw up a joke
and he deserves a little lampooning for that. The only part that was outrageous and unfair to the Senator was this "insulted the troops" business. And McCain is sticking to that already expired story -- what an idiot!

Right -- Karynnj, he's too fat here to be accurate. But this makes him actually likeable. Right -- not "too perfect". From now on, only self deprecating jokes. And this cartoon somehow shows some endearment for the senator. It's the first thing over this entire botched joke drama that made me laugh. Really.

15. I think that's pretty funny.
(Except for the man-boobs which I'm pretty sure he doesn't have.) Who can't relate to trying to tell a joke and screwing it up? A few people do have the natural ability to be good joke tellers, but most people (like JK obviously) do not. That doesn't mean those people are necessarily void of humor, it just means they aren't good joke tellers.

I think the ability to laugh at yourself when you goof up is very important. (Note that most conservatives, fundies and foks on the extreme left are NOT very good at laughing at themselves.)

7. I refuse to take these polls seriously now. Why believe them when
Edited on Sun Nov-12-06 12:27 AM by wisteria
it is to easy to manipulate them based on the questions asked and the people being interviewed. Looks to me, no one is electable based on this poll.

According to this though, he is well known. I wonder if this was done during the lastest smear by Rove and the media? Look at the other names that people never heard of, McCain? Biden? LOL.Two of the biggest TV hams.

9. I just realized why this poll sounded familiar, I was e-mailed a request
to participate. I never did. This is not even scientific. And, if it only records e-mail responders, it isn't even a good cross section of America. I just wanted to confirm it is nonsense.
That is all.

10. This poll only shows that people do not want candidates that are too partisan.
The names with high negatives (Clinton, Rice, Gore, Gingritch, and Kerry) are all linked (fairly or not) to the parties.

The names with low negatives are supposed to be maverick and independant (Obama, Guliani, McCain) and the media report often they are working with the other party.
