i found this in LBN. talks about Reid working with a Republican Senator and Reid says something like "it's not brokeback mountain close" . am i overly sensitive or is this really offensive ? i know it's not hateful and he didn't mean it in a bad way.

but it reminds me of kids saying "that's sooo gay" or people saying "i'm not a homo, but..."

1. I hear those 'jokes' all the time

I never thought they were appropriate. I was wondering when somebody was going to use it and get called on it. Between this and Rangel's Mississippi 'joke', I wonder if they can let Kerry off the hook now?

i think Reid is a bit homophobic. not anti gay but homophobic.

contrast to Kerry's response to all the Kerry/Edwards are a gay couple stuff that went on. he joked and said something about how he thinks they make a cute couple.

that is about a year behind the times. I think we've established now that politicians suck as comedians.
