1. Thanks. I didn't comment. Maybe it's just me, but I don't care |
|
for the empty chat format. I think he should have had something to blog about, and then invited comments and questions. The diary just seemed so . . . empty.

6. Actually, I didn't comment on JE's diary because I was very late |
|
to see it and it was already 600 comments. I did comment on that diary today from somebody who wrote a report about meeting with JE. Somebody said that the ticket should have been JE/JK, which I viewed as an attack on JK, so I responded to that. Although I have problems with JE, I really do try to stick with the issues, which for me is his lack of foreign policy experience (I give Obama a hard time for that, too). Sometimes I talk more frankly here on the JK forum, but "out there", I defended JE against the Walmart attack because I thought it was stupid.

Just as the JK botched joke got more attention than it should have. JRE said that JK didn't need to apologize.

8. Really? Because that's the first I've heard of him commenting on that. |
|
Do you have a link? Because that would mean a lot if he defended his friend against such trivialities. On policy, experience and qualifications, of course, I think they should go at each other's throats, but not on this stupid stuff.

11. Okay -- that was pretty good. I won't bring this up again. |
|
Check it out:
He also expressed sympathy toward his former running mate, John Kerry, who was criticized by the president for suggesting unsuccessful students end up stuck in Iraq. "This is all politics," Edwards said. "What's happening is the president and the Republicans and they know they're in trouble in this election and they're trying to find anything they can to distract the voter's attention. It's not going to be successful."

3. But you and I enchanged comments today |
|
Just so others know.
And I was not one to trash Senator Kerry.

9. Apparently one small minded person who had |
|
criticized Kerry for doing nothing finds it inconeivable that some people actually chose to do charity quietly. (though if I were going to make something up would I claim that Lott spoke of it on the Senate floor.)
Fortunately, an Edwards person defended my comment.
