with all the cooking and basting I totally forgot! Today is our 29th anniversary!! My husband and I are superstitious about anniversaries, and we always keep it extremely low key. It's worked so far!!

I'm spending the day with my son's new girlfriend - she's cooking her first Thanksgiving. My daughter is doing her first whole meal by herself, but her husband's family is going to be there. We'll go over there for dessert this evening. So I guess I passed the turkey leg or something this year, I hardly cooked at all. That means I will actually have time to look NICE this year!

We DO have much to be thankful for. I am thankful that, despite our problems, we DO live in such a wonderful country. And I am grateful every day for those who have, and still do, fight to keep it great...especially our troops. Well, we don't celebrate it here in Europe but I have fond memories of the Thanksgiving I celebrated with my Californian friends two years ago. It's a nice tradition and great occasion to reunite with friends and family. We only do that for Christmas here.

And I'm very happy to know all you great guys too! And looking forward to meeting some of you in about two weeks. :grouphug:
