Wonder if bush* did what Kerry did?
Edited on Sat Nov-25-06 06:18 PM by Island Blue
Early last week, I read in GD that three police officers who were a part of bush's* motorcade in Hawaii were involved in an accident with injuries (while in the motorcade). This brought to mind a photo I had seen of JK getting out of his bus to check on an injured officer who had crashed while in his motorcade in Florida.

MERRITT ISLAND, UNITED STATES: Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry (C) walks away after checking on a Bravard County Deputy who was injured 26 July 2004 when his motorcycle crashed while participating in Kerry's motorcade. Kerry was on his way to participate in a town hall meeting at the Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex when the accident occurred and Kerry had his motorcade turn around so he could check on the injured officer. So, I wonder if bush* ordered his motorcade to turn around so he could check on the downed officers? Somehow I just can't see that happening.

3. i hadn't either
but Kerry is the type that doesn't talk about these things as it's just what he does naturally. similar to how he never talked about saving Rassman in Vietnam .

but in a way it hurts as it keeps it out of the news while the haters lie about him and turn non issues into something in order to hurt him.

4. Kerry's modesty on these things
is in keeping with everything I was ever taught. What surprises me is that there are people completely unwilling to even believe a politician could feel that he doesn't need to tell everyone every time he does a nice thing. A week ago or so, one of the Edwards fans on DKOS was knocking Kerry to praise Edwards saying that Kerry did nothing on Katrina even though he was in office. I listed 2 of the several things Kerry did - and was essentially called a liar or stupid to believe it.
The idea that Kerry (and Teresa) would help people without having the press there to pat them on the back seemed beyond her comprehension.

5. Wow, that poster was amazing.
Accusing someone of lying about something that is in the Senate record?

Not to mention acting like there isn't a good reason for keeping it quiet. Sheesh. As I posted in reply, evidently the poster isn't Christian and doesn't know about Christianity, and that's okay, but it's not okay to assume to know another person's motives.

6. Oooh, uhuh, that's a photoshop
cuz I specifically heard folks say George Bush would be more likely to stop and help a motorist with an emergency. Clearly the events in that picture never happened.

:sarcasm:

I never saw that picture or heard the story, not surprised. God I HATE the fucking media.

9. Oh, that's horrible!
The articles I read last week never indicated that any of the injuries were that serious. I'm so saddened to hear this.
