As the lone Coloradan here, I'm feeling left out. Well, also because I'm stuck in school while you're all meeting one of our favorite Democrats, but mostly I'm jealous of Mass. So, allow me to propose that after everyone recuperates from another exhilarating meeting with Sen. Kerry, you all head out here. Actually, invite the Senator too!

The Sangre de Christo Mountains:

Fun in wintertime too:

We even have Mount Democrat!

Plus we have the best city in the West for those of you who are less nature inclined:

So, if we have the honor of hosting the '08 Democratic National Convention, I hope you'll stop by. Besides, if we're really lucky, Sen. Kerry will be accepting the nomination there! But, if you need any more convincing, check out my sig line.

3. No need to convince me
If - scratch that - WHEN Kerry is the 2008 nominee, I will happily travel to your lovely state to cheer him on. He was born in Denver, yanno - it's an omen! :D

The choice is officially between NYC and Denver, right? I highly expect it to be Denver. NYC had the Repukes last time around and besides, it's not like we need to pick up votes in NY.

6. I'll be in Denver next week.
Parts of CO are gorgeous, as you all can see from the photos. Sadly, I'm stuck in the Tech Center, which looks like just about the same as any other major city's tech center (except you can see the mountains).
I hear it's freezing out there right now (at least until noon :-) )

7. The Denver Tech Center is, IMHO, a pretty nice place
It's well designed, and covered with a lot of trees and small parks. It's not quite what you'd expect for the kind of suburban place that it is. If you want a wierd experience though, drive around there on the weekend. Nobody's around and it's like you woke up, and everything is the same except all the people are gone.

9. I used to work on DTC Pkwy
I had an office there, although I was rarely in town.

I remember it before all the prarie dogs got chased away by construction.

I still get lost in the tech center, though. It's odd. I have to use the mountains to know which direction to go (which may be normal, I guess).

Anyway, you're right. It's pretty for a tech center.

11. Hey, I could DRIVE there!
...a long day's drive, but doable. And I've been to the New Mexico part of the Sangre De Christo mountains for a writer's conference, and they truly are beautiful. I think that would be just grand.

12. I did a two and a half day drive to Glacier NP this summer with my family
It wasn't a bad drive and we all had a great time, as I'm sure everyone will when you come on out to CO :)
