|
and when the waitress comes, look at her sadly and say that "You reallyt really wanted the Kerry burger and could they please make one." (assuming they weren't horrible.)

and Whome and others around here, am I right in sensing a certain general air in the, er, decor of the place of political cynicism? During the Clinton years, several rude photomanipped pictures appeared on the walls and I'll have to go in and check their take on the Kennedys.
I only eat there 2-3 times a year but I've always sort of looked for a Kerry burger and never noticed one. I have run into the original owners a couple of times in the last few months around town and next time I see Mrs. B. I will tell her to tell her son to shape up! I will also call tomorrow and tell them to reinstall the burger and then tell the Globe they've done so (if all that happened, any bets on whether the Globe would print a retraction? I don't think so either...)

24. Ask Bartley if he can name the lawmaker who has investigated and exposed more government corruption |
|
than any lawmaker in modern history and ask why that would embarrass him so much? Obama hasn't done ANYTHING in his two years that is even CLOSE to what Kerry did in his first two years.
Obama helped to THWART the Downing Street Memo investigation and Alito filibuster. He talked against the filibuster and then pretended he was for it when he got the backlash. Now he wants the congress to NOT investigate Bush's lies leading up to Iraq war. Utter bullshit.
That burger guy is UNINFORMED - he should turn the corporate TV off and read the congressional record for a change.

5. Obviously it is entertainment to some to kick around a respected senator. |
|
Now, if someone gets me the e-mail or address of the jerk that apparently is embarrassed by kerry, I will write him and ask him exactly what he has to be embarrassed about except his own ignorance.

8. This is why I feel strongly about the issue. |

Yes, it's kind of stupid and trivial as an isolated thing. But put it next to stuff like heyjohn.com, and you start to see a pattern of institutionalized rudeness and dismissiveness directed at JK, and he just doesn't deserve that.

which also makes Obama look bad, and he (and Kerry) doesn't deserve that either.

10. Did you see the Daily Show bit tonight |
|
on Obama?
It was pretty funny - Jon Stewart was talking about all the long-serving senators on the Foreign Relations Committee, and their wealth of knowledge and experience, and then they cut to about 3 or 4 different tv interviews - ALL of them with Obama.

16. It is surreal actually, when you consider how the media wants us to vote on our Presidents. |
|
The most important position in America and we are just suppose to hand it over to the popular kid. I hope Americans Get a clue in 08. Just look what happens when we elect just anyone for President. You know, we haven't had a great president in many years. I personally don't think Clinton was great. We are about due.
