right? This is one of the things that I really do hold against the Clintons, the fact that it became all about the money.

The 1996 election was corrupted by funny money. (Most people rememeber at least the 'Al Gore at the Buddist Temple collecting bag money' incident.)

I read some of this before, it's a lot. It's probably why some people have avoided the whole issue of campaign finance reform and investigating subsequent elections (read 2004).
