This is pointless but....I love you, John Kerry. |
|
No specific reasoning behind this thread other then frustration about a thread here on DU. Nothing like Senator Kerry and my Kerry video folder on my computer to make me smile.

As to your frustration; sometimes it is better to put out a fire by depriving it of oxygen instead of pouring water on it. Look at it this way; DU is only a tiny non-representative microcosm of the real world. If you think about how little it matters what people post here, it sort of puts things right back into perspective :-)

4. DU is great to meet dedicated Democrats.... |

Edited on Fri Feb-09-07 04:19 PM by Kerry2008
....And to find opinion and the latest news on the political front. But it also shouldn't be seen as the view of the majority of Democrats. But I must say, I enjoy the Kerry supporters here....
:grouphug: We all support a very good man, and that is our bond!!

5. I think everyone here does as well. |
|
You might want to consider using the "Ignore" feature for certain posters. Yeah, yeah I know - this is America and everyone has the right to be heard. While that may be true, you are under no obligation to listen to what they're saying. If they NEVER add anything positive to the conversation (about JK or their favorite Democrat), put 'em on ignore. Your blood pressure will thank you.

6. Some people hate what they cannot understand. If they read REAL history they would |
|
understand Kerry and the sense of justice that has motivated him throughout his life.
But real history is too tough for most people to endure. People who bother to get involved with this country's real history become Kerry supporters.

8. Me too. No matter how bad things get, he's still an inspiration. |
|
This is where I go for my dose of JK/THK. I've got to change the 2008 to SetADeadline.com ASAP though. http://www.dynamicdems.com/stickies.htm:)

11. They were fun making. It is all Skinner's fault cos he started the stickies thing. |
|
Remember the Stickies fundraiser for DU? Well, that got me started. There are now some SetADeadline ones added to the page. Most 2008 got changed, but not all because JK is up for re-election in '08. Feel free to grab any of the animations if you need any or to request ones I haven't thought of.

It was great to see all those images together - there really is something idealist, clean and inspiring in JK and THK.

14. Wow. That's powerful. |

People on DU don't realize just how many lives John Kerry has affected and through his kindness and the the inspiration he gives. We are only a handful of people here in the Kerry group, but for each of us, there are thousands of quiet folks who silently hold great respect and love for this man.
We know because we've seen it and heard it. The standing ovations and the cheering and the love generated for Senator Kerry was something to behold in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Something tells me that it will be the same in 2007 and beyond.
Good politicians are a dime a dozen. Good leaders are extremely rare.

it's more productive to gripe about 2004 and blame him (and other dems) for the IWR. :sarcasm:
I agree with your post that good politicians are a dime a dozen.

They don't care about being productive! Heaven forbid!
Aw Hell. Let the lemmings go blindly over the cliff of malcontent. We can Kerry on without them. Part of the solution, yep.
