I just posted this response to analysis of HRC contributions to other Dems |
|
specifically, analysis of Hillary's support (or not) of other candidates in 2006. . . A little over the top, perhaps, but I've just had my fill of people not giving JK the credit he deserves. Enough is enough, dammit http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=103&topic_id=334780&mesg_id=335161

3. I don't even have to look at her numbers. She contributed next to nothing. |
|
Choosing to hoard it all for her candidacy. He excuse at the time was she needed it for her senate race. Gee that was a real tough campaign wasn't it?

it was a tough campaign! Didn't she have like three different opponents if I remember correctly? It requires lits of $ to fight such mighty opponents, even if it is one at a time :-)!

4. I still think her people were behind the "Hey John" website |
|
It just really, really seemed like the kind of thing she'd do.

5. Yup. No doubt in my mind now. In retrospect, it wasn't so bad |

compared to what we're seeing now, was it? THAT is saying a lot about how nasty this campaign is.
Edit: the fact that it got media attention almost immediately is a dead give away that it was a Clintonista operation.

9. It is the Rovenian thing they have done constantly with Obama |
|
Accuse your opponent of what you are doing and hit their areas of strength.
Before "Hey John", even the MSNBC candidate status ratings spoke of Kerry's enormous effort to support 2005 and 2006 candidates as a reason to put him in the top tier with HRC and Obama. (They left out Edwards - which really made sense at that point - late October, he was polling even with Kerry after getting 2 years of positive press - while Kerry was gaining in spite of withering coverage by the media. Add in debates, and it was clear what would happen.)

7. That was a beautiful and thorough history lesson, MBS |
|
I'm so glad you posted it there and I want to keep it for future reference. On DU and elsewhere, history class must always remain in session -- a lot of people have been sleeping in class when it comes to JK, it seems! :-)
