Iran, Hillary, McCain, Obama and campaign strategy
Almost didn't post this, but watching media dismiss and not cover the generals praising "no drama Obama" and after visiting an huber lefty meeting of delusionals yesterday, lamenting Edwards and Kucinich still, as their precise words are all that matter, how do we elect Obama, and stop a very different Hillary in terms of skill, motives and new chance for our country?

I also don't trust Hillary on Iran, or this election. Robert Parry is a fav of blm's, and mine, and I don't always see conspiracies. Except on voting, of course.

Didn't have the heart to post on Obama's site, but I had to share the angst.

2. Please, NOOOOO!!!!!
I've had enough. We all, here and elsewhere, have had enough. Some sanity, PLEASE, and if I am not asking for too much, some integrity and a bit of a moral compass as well.

3. Object to unethical and lack of moral compass.
Listen, I'm thrilled about Obama for his cool, nimble mind, analytical honesty, judgment and temperament, as much as for his inclusiveness and unity message-that's working.

I thought it important with Iran noise, Fallon quitting, conclusions drawn by many more than Parry, we think about the possibilities of a potential Hillary presidency. Despite the hurdles Obama moves gracefully through. I want media focus on the generals support. Nary a word why Obama was standing there with all those formal looking guys.

We all want success in November, and I hold back a lot. Often don't post. Managing a lot of cool on the Kerry blog during primaries, etc, I take issue with being called dishonest.

4. This will cheer you up about Obama--

This post at dkos really makes some good points: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/3/15/203514/051/358/477634

(this is the conclusion--but it's a long post chock full of reasons for hope.)

...Now with the credibility Obama has gained by disclosing everything on Rezko and silencing his critics, as well as bringing the painful "-phobias" and "-isms" to the fore in a unifying way, he laid the gauntlet down on the Hillary Clinton campaign.

I sit here, shocked, awed, and beyond amazed by this deft level of political maneuvering. And he did it without going negative or nasty.

THIS is the kind of person I want sitting in the White House working for us, the American people. THIS is the kind of Presidency I want to see after we've had 8 years of corruption, partisanship, and secrecy.

I felt so despondent yesterday while thinking of my own religious feelings, as well as thinking how this would affect the Obama campaign. After seeing this masterful performance today, just in time for the coming week's news cycle, I am even more impressed and ready to see this man become the next President of the United States.

Way to go!

7. Marjorie
I was NOT calling YOU dishonest, God forbid, why should I? What I wrote was nothing but a gut reaction to the article you posted, to all the nastiness that is out there, maybe hanging by nothing bit a thin thread and waiting to fall on our heads. The article scared me, that's all. NOTHING to do with you personally, trust me.

9. Thanks for clarifying.
I know Parry uses blunt language, but that comes from a perspective of usually being correct about the dark side. Let's hope it doesn't win on Iran.

5. A little OT, but it relates to the retirement of General Fallon -Kerry's statement.
His statement seems like a warning or an ominous sign.

http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/48743908_john-kerry-statement-admiral-fallons-resignation">link

"Congress needs to determine immediately whether Admiral Fallon’s resignation is another example of truth tellers being forced to the sidelines in the Bush Administration. His departure must not clear the way for a rush to war with Iran"

8. I've been assuming that Fallon's resignation, and inferences about
the reasons behind it, are the tip of the iceberg. Jan 20, 2009 can't come soon enough for me.

10. That is a pretty sharp comment - cutting to the heart of the issue
It does, unfortunately, give credence to the op, that this is not a good sign.
