He's still speaking of Kerry and Obama as in the future. He had a guest whose name I didn't catch on speaking of the impact of Indiana's id law. He said that there were some problems with kids from private schools not having acceptable ID, because their school id was not ok. (In Indiana most private school is Catholic or Christian - not prep schools (where I would better the entire 18 yr and older population would have Driver's licenses.) He spoke of an entire order of nuns in South Bend not allowed to vote. (Come on - how could Indiana disenfranchise nuns! )

He is in charge of reporting on voting irregularities and/or voter disenfranchisement. He's been on Tom Joyner and to DC to Congress testifying all the voting problems (i.e. Ohio, Texas).

Just a summary for those who can't get the audio.


Mike started the interview by saying that has a "great deal of respect" for him (Kerry). He is talking about why he went public to support Obama. He felt that it was very important to change the way the country is moving. Thinks BO has the best chance of moving and uniting the country, bringing people young and old, black, white, rich, poor together.

Mike notes that it's "phenominal" that he BO is competing against the "machine.". Kerry notes the delegate count and encourages people to vote for BO. Mike is concerned about the conversation from the popular to delegates. Kerry hopes it will stop in the next few days, said HRC needs 60% of the votes. Thinks that superdelegates will be "very reluctant" to overturn what the pledged delegates have earned.

Also noted, Mike thinks it should be about the future and not about the past. Kerry agrees. Notes HRC's net negatives, BO's net positives. Thinks BO has a better chance of beating McCain in the GE.

Mike was picturing Obama and McCain on the debating stage with everything going wrong that McCain didn't stand a chance against Obama once people get to hear their I think platforms was the word. Kerry was telling him to be careful about raising the expections to something that can't be met. He had his shared of debates and talked about never taking anything for granted. Notes that debates are always tough and you have to be prepared up for them and never take anything for granted until the polls close and you have worked for every vote. Mike appreciated the time and hoped that everyone would go out and vote for BO.
