JK or Al Gore need to get on the air... |
|
...fast. Newt Gingrich is live on C-Span getting publicity to the Rep. protest on the energy bill. He's pushing McCain's policy (of course) and belittling the Democrats. This will hurt Obama.
We need an energy 'guru' to get out there and rebut him...now. JMHO from out here in Ca. :)

1. Al Gore hasn't really participated in this political season, save his |
|
one appearance endorsing Obama. As I have mentioned before, he is more an activist - nonpartisan - now, and cannot be counted on for this kind of fight.
(He is also a venture capitalist.)
Frankly, this seems to be the job of Pelosi to push back on.

2. I think VP Gore is dipping his toes into the political waters more and more lately. |

The 2000 and 2004 Democratic Nominees for President were together last night at a fundraiser for Sen. Obama's campaign. Article in the Cape Code Times: http://www.capecodonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080806/NEWS/80806003

3. Oooooh. That is good to hear. Well, then, please let me be wrong. |
|
I just was commenting based on Gore's speech at NN that was about his We Can Solve It campaign, and less about politics.

...hear. And it is also really difficult to follow all the 'moving parts' in this campaign. :7

6. I caught Newt this morning and thought the same thing. |
|
And, Gingrich knows better than to be pushing these kinds of talking points. Maybe someone needs to dig up that debate he had with Senator Kerry, just to refute some of the BS I listened to this morning.

8. I'm glad I'm not alone... |
|
...your reaction sounds just like mine. I kept thinking of that debate...and I know how important it is to compromise and find solutions...but (if I heard him correctly) he talked of shutting down government again. How is that "working together to find solutions" ?
It's the usual Rep. playbook...it's not about energy...it's about November. They are out to get the public to blame Democrats for everything they are responsible for causing....gas prices, Iraq, you name it. Disgusting.
