I just called Senator John Kerry's office to ask Senator Kerry to step in and speak out against what John McCAin and Sarah Palin are doing to incite violence against Senator Obama. These tactics are getting out of hand. We have no idea where they will lead, but it looks like things could get vert bad, very ugly, very dangerous, very fast.
It's not just what they're saying, but how they're saying it, and who they're saying it to. This is scaring the hell of of me, and I don't scare easily.
There are over 100 comments to this diary, with people calling Kerry's office as well as other Senators, that somebody should say something or do something.
Then, after the e-mail went out and it was posted to the Huff Post, another diary:

A few days ago there was a diary posted suggesting that we call Senator Kerry's office and ask him to call out McCain's tactics. I don't believe that these calls were the cause of Kerry's actions today, but they definitely weren't left unheeded.
This shows that the netroots and the grassroots works. They contact their elected officials, and combined with other influences, create action. These diaries weren't on the recommended list, but they still created action. I am proud of DailyKos members for doing this, and to Sen. Kerry for issuing his statement.
