I am so damn depressed now. I think I have made some really stupid posts lately. I didn't get sandnsea's thread. Before that I told a lame joke where I called Kerry a dyke, but I meant it sarcastically, but I think I offended a DUer. Also one of my threads locked because I forgot to read all the rules like the jerk I am. On top of all that I can't find a job. I keep getting turned down. I am such a fucking loser.:cry:

I guess I just wish you'd ease up with the "dyke" jokes and comments. We're all cool with your sexuality, but honestly, the Kerry forum isn't really the right place for so much of it, unless you're talking about how he supports gay rights. And just know that no one here is trying to offend anyone so maybe you shouldn't be so quick to read negativity into things.

And I've had plenty of posts deleted, so it's really no big deal - something that happens to everyone. And just keep looking - the right job for you is out there, I'm sure. :hug:

Hey, I got a whole thread deleted! Here in Kerryland yet. The whole "Who the heck is" thread from yesterday. Beat that.

I wonder if it's the time of year. I'm feeling all insecure too. I'm pretty cool when I can write my response. It's the verbal face to face stuff where I feel like a fool. But then I still suspect hormonality. I got all verklempt earlier reading a partial birth sob story. It worked too, I was sobbing.

Mine's mixed with anxiety. The therapist thinks I should switch to medication that treats both depression and anxiety, but I'm starting to feel like Liza. Even so, maybe she's right.

6. Cheer up! Everyone says stupid things here.

I too had one of those self important "I'm leaving, feel my wrath" posts. I was gone less than 48 hours. I also trashed Kerry once during the campaign before realizing that I'd taken things waaaaay out of context. I apologized in what I must admit was one of my more humble moments.

Everyone has brief flashes of jack-assery. Don't worry about it.

These things just happen from time to time. Everyone goes crazy occasionally. Like for instance, on Monday I filled up my gas tank and it was $1.91/gallon. I fumed and worked myself into a rage on the way to my place and then just blew up at my friends as soon as I walked inside... yes, trashed Bush, trashed people who voted for him, trashed voting machine companies, and then (:() had a lefty freeper moment and threw barbs at Kerry for the concession speech. Felt really bad about it about 20 minutes later, after I'd cooled off. It's OK. Everyone's human.

With so many really good posts, I doubt anyone took offense. No one is perfect. The prayer you wrote and posted shows who you are more than any attempt at a joke, however lame. I know I would certainly not want to be judged by my poorest posts, nor would anyone else.

The nice thing about this group is that everyone seems to try to look at the best view of who or what something is rather than criticising as if the worst case were true.

I know how hard it can be - I've gone through some tough periods in my life - when everything seems to go wrong at once and we start to think it's because we deserve it but that's bs. A lot of the time bad things happen to good people and good things happen to jerks and that's the way of the world. (Good fortune like rain falleth on the just and unjust alike.)

It's so simplistic but for me the secret to life is to always keep trying. Something eventually works out.

In the meantime - buck up - you're one of my favorite posters! Give yourself a break - you'd never be this hard on someone else.
