How do some of you all stay out of GD/P?

It's has been terrible in there. I have been helping Kerrygoddess out there too. Was DU like this before the election ended? It's just a bunch of vicious, mean-spirited attacks on Kerry. He never gets credit for anything. The more stuff he does, the more people attack him for it. It's so unfair. If he had won, we wouldn't be fighting or tearing each other apart. I feel like you some days, LittleClarkie, I try to ignore them, but it's really hard. I want to cry sometimes. I am sick of us eating our own. :(

4. I usually see threads when they are first posted and check them out

then. The flame bait threads that you can see from the first post I usually read once and avoid.

I look at things as they are initially posted, check out the greatest page, in JK forum, my posts and some other sites like Daily Kos, Talking Points Memo, Atrios.

I don't usually go check what the hot topic is getting bumped up over and over in GD and GD: P.

You can tell from new threads what the hot topic is when a heated battle is going on. It also depends on how much time I have.

I don't like the "wanting to cry" and "eating our own" feeling. I've done it and it sucks so I don't put myself through it.

If someone posts a help thread here, I'll check and sometimes help but there are so many people with their minds set in concrete that it seems like banging your head against a wall but I appreciate those of you that do it because it helps prevent the vocal minority from taking over.

Wouldn't matter if he'd won, they'd still rip him apart because the troops weren't home, or we didn't instantly have single payer health care, or he hadn't declared a moratorium on all drilling for all oil and gas in the entire world, or whatever other stupid fuck thing they think will fix the world's woes. I am just so sick of it.
