Holy shit! That Rethug bastard had the balls to try and get a loan from SBA to fund the destroy Social Security National Tour?

Just when you think they can't get any more evil, they top themselves. How many real small businesses can't get money and these guys raid the SBA? Words fail me at the moment.

Thanks Senator. Lately, I am just so happy for all those votes for ya over the years. Go get 'em.:loveya: :loveya: .:loveya:

I am flabbergasted once again by Rethug nerve. What a bunch of bastards.

AP Post on this letter:http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=669&u=/usnw/20050411/pl_usnw/kerry_questions_sba_spending_on_president_s_social_security_tour162_xml&printer=1

"The Administration has cut the SBA and its resources to our small businesses 36 percent since 2001, the most of any Federal Agency, and spending scarce funding to market the President's Social Security proposals would raise serious concerns for this Committee," Kerry wrote.

Kerry wrote to the SBA after learning that it is one of several federal agencies that has tapped its budget to fund the travel of high-level employees as part of President Bush's "60 Stops in 60 Days" tour to promote his Social Security proposals. SBA officials have already traveled to California, Connecticut, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia as part of the tour.

In the letter, Kerry expressed concern that the SBA was using resources to garner support for the President's Social Security ideas potentially to the detriment of other SBA programs suffering from a lack of funding. Kerry requested a full account of the SBA's spending and travel related to the President's Social Security tour.

6. Sooner or later someone will notice.
I'm gonna put something on my blog later.

I was thinking it might be time for another liberal confessional thread. I had something in mind this morning, but today's news has washed it out of my brain.

7. If not, well, we can have a private discussion
So, my sister was over yesterday. I would have posted, but having my sister over and talking in this group is what I call, "Corssing the streams." I don't want to do it.

Sigh! Oh, well, everybody has blind spots. This must be ours.

My sister is good. We watched the Rings ceremony yesterday. Did you see it? Hilarious. I loved the choice of music to give rings out to. (The Impossible Dream, Sweet Caroline, The Theme from Star Wars)Sombody over at Yawkey Way has a killer sense of humor.

So, how you doing?

EDIT: By mutual agreement, my sister and I cannot talk about Sen. KErry. It's better that way. She drives me crazy.

10. Oh, pretty good.
Haven't seen the rings yet. My husband and daughter are going to the opera tonight, and I (lowbrow of the family) will stay home and watch Scrubs and the ring ceremony. Sounds like it will be fun!!!

My son IM'd me - he has a killer schedule this week, and he's sick. Poor thing. :-( No sick days for musicians.

11. Oooh, sounds awful
Do musicians count as small business men. (They should read this outrage invoking letter. Really.)

My daughter has some pics from her freshman gallery online. Very artsy. But she claims that she had to go to an actual gallery showing of pics and didn't like it. She wants to be a commercial photographer. Sigh!

And my sonregistered as an independent. Where have I gone wrong.

You know that really is an important SBA letter. Sigh!

12. He absolutely is a small businessman.
Makes a mother nervous, but what can you do? An artist is an artist, right?

During his last year of grad school they made them take a business for musicians course - taxes, contracts, etc.

13. Ahm, Whome this is not working
Either that or there is a concerted effort on the JK forum to ignore us.

What, was it something we said? Is it ignore a Masshole day? You just don't like SBA letters that are WICKED IMPORTANT? What?

Well, I thought it was a great letter. I was outraged by the Admin action. And I loved my Senator for doing this.

I feel so unloved at the moment. Sniff!

14. Awww,
don't take it personally. Sometimes great posts languish until evening, when they are resurrected and raised up to their proper position of glory.

Time for me to go home - but I'll check in later and give a kick if necessary.

15. Thanks, TayTay!
It IS a great letter! And thanks so much for doing the research for us. I appreciate it very much. :loveya: :pals: I personally would never have the time and the skills to do it. I'm always glad to come back here and get all the great stuff you people have for me.

I'm just checking in. It's late evening here in France and I was out today. And I'm just watching Kerry and the re-airing of the hearings. He really was wonderful again... and cute. LOL Thanks to the Internet I can watch C-Span even here in Europe! How great is that!

17. I hope I made TayTay happy :-)
And yeah, I saw Kerry yesterday as well. I had to reorganize my whole day to do so but it was worth it! I also miss to see him on TV. During the campaign I watched CNN International and they had him on a lot. Now I'm glad to have some information on him at all. But since I found your forum, it's getting better. You people are great!

21. Anyone else?
This is friggin NEWS. Big news. That fraud * is taking money away from people with legitimate business needs. He is stomping on the engine of business in America. He just sucks!

And my esteemed Junior Senator noticed and is trying to make them account for their shameful behavior. Tell me you are impressed or I am going to hold my breath and turn blue and stomp my feet. Really.
