The Deaniac thread wasn't flamebait
we were talking out the differences without coming to anything like verbal blows. Why was that thread locked? It was an informative trading of opinions. Isn't that the reason we have groups?

That one was nowhere near flamebait. I don't get it. We have never had a problem in here with raging flame wars. Seems rather flimsy for a lockdown, dontcha think?

1. the subject line was flamebait
because it referred to some Dean people as Deanbots.

saracat shoudl have changed it to posting a link to the article and asking opinions on what we think of the strategy. it would have remained then.

2. I see, I see
So we can say anything we want, indirectly, as long as we don't put anything inflammatory in the header.

Okay, that makes perfect sense. I will monitor the GD - P to see if that is indeed the rule. Thanks!

5. she only did it because of some Dean supporters who were doing it
so i can understand where she was coming from.

but we have to remember in the future before we post something like that.

and also to alert others who do it to us .

12. I didn't post in that thread because the subject line did piss me off
some (not that I alerted on it or anything).

I'm in a bad mood so I just stepped away from that thread.

I agreed with your comment, Tay Tay.

I saw the following paraphrase/quote that Gen. Clark supposedly said tonight over on Daily Kos and I wish we could follow that a little more:

And--BREAKING!-- we have our own 11th commandment now. Clark was talking about the Democratic Party earning some street cred for being tough on national security, He says that the place to start is with this thought: Americans will believe that a Democratic CinC will defend them when they first become convinced that " Democrats will defend other Democrats." Can I get an amen?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/4/16/23109/8313

I'm just sick of the fighting and bashing of other Dems.

23. Yes
I agree with Clark.

But I tried to say that in that LBN thread, and got attacked for it anyway. I apparently am not allowed to not like what Dean said, (but suggest we just ignore it and stay on message), and have my avatar at the same time.

I heard the General is going to also announce he is running for president in 08. I am tired of the fighting and bashing of other Dems too.

21. My Sox have been having fun with TB
They kicked the stuffing out of them on Friday 8-0, then beat them again today 6-2. Hey, we play Baltimore this week at Camden Yards. The O's are Sox-killers. You and me will have some bidness between us Kleeb. (It's okay, I'll medicate before I log on.)

My post wasn't meant to upset the Dean people. I was just expressing my point of view about Dean's statements. I have seen much worse posted against John Kerry and no one locked those threads. What gives?
