"no one loved Kerry?" Why are we the most active DU group? |
|
I love John Kerry. I am a no one. A Deaniac who does not have her own blog to continue the primary wars, I guess that makes me a no one, but you people here rock! :grouphug:

I'm one of those nobodies who has liked and admired John Kerry since the early primaries.

2. You are a somebody, but I understand where you are coming from |

I was for a while a "pure" Deaniac during the primaries who USED TO think Kerry was dull and indecisive UNTIL I actually got to know about him and his record! Then I was very impressed with how similar he was to Dean. And I love his personality, it just is more subtle than Dean...;)

5. yeah, and compared with other senators, |
|
he's got a lot more real followers! Someone else posted that another senator has something like 10,000 on their email list, and think that's good. Our guy's clearly got a true following. :)

Right on the front page, upper right corner, you can put in your email address, and you should get updates from him.

18. 3 million was one of the estimates of how many email addresses he has |
|
Edited on Fri May-13-05 08:54 AM by karynnj
The 600,000 is more impressive that is the number who RESPONDED to kids' first. (This is an incredible response rate - although many responders may not have been on the list but got the email from someone.
The 3M number can be junk - the 600,000 people who did (admittedly and easy thing) something when he asked AFTER the election is significant.

15. The KidsFirst List & The Email List |
|
KidsFirst has 5-600,000 supporters. The email list had 3 million, I don't know how many now, with add ons and drop offs. I think that's the difference in the two numbers.

17. 3,000,000 people on the e-mail list |
|
600,000 co-sponsors of the Kids First Bill. The e-mail list is the property of JohnKerry.com (or Friends of John Kerry or whatever the new PAC name is) and is proprietary information. (He owns it. It's his list of names. He doesn't have to share it with any other organization if he doesn't want to.) Senator Kerry recently sent out an e-mail to his supporters asking them to send some support to Sen. Kennedy. I am uncertain if this was a mailing to the Mass Dems only or if it was national. But this would also beef up Sen. Kennedy's e-mail listings.
In contrast, the DNC keeps a list of Democratic supporters and their e-mails in a huge database nicknamed Dem-zilla. It is unknown which list is larger; that national list of Dems or the one that belongs to John Kerry.
Again, this is why there are attacks on John Kerry. He has some interesting assets that other Dems covet. He has been active in reaching his supporters and keeping them up-to-date on his activities. He has advanced mailed people on appearances around the country in support of his programs and has gotten very good response. What's not to be envious of?

7. Plus how did he get the nomination |
|
You don't fool everyone into voting for you by claiming to be electable, as Kos suggests, without giving people more reason to vote for you.
