Soldiers in Iraq Take on Rove
This just proves what John Kerry was sying on the floor of the Senate: KKKarl Rove owes and apology to every American honorably trying to serve their country in Afghanistan and Iraq.

http://takeittokarl.blogspot.com/

Now this takes courage. (And will bring tears to your eyes.)

I am so proud of Sen. Kerry for fighting for our folks in the service. It's nice to know that someone hasn't forgotten what is real and important in this world. It's also nice to know that people are beginning to fight back really hard.

This Admin is going down and going down hard. It's just a matter or time.

3. What killed Vietnam was when all these average Americans
Edited on Sun Jun-26-05 12:23 PM by TayTay
started to question the war. And a big part of getting the average American to question the war was having the returning vets deliver the message that the war was wrong and needlessly costing Americans and Vietnamese their lives. This is happening again.

Another solider blog: http://leonardclark.com/blog/

I do think we have reached a tipping point. That is why we have the anti-flag burning amendment, * talking about the anti-Gay marriage amendment and KKKarl coming out spewing poisonous fumes against libruls. These people are desperate because they are tanking in the polls. They have to proceed to diversionary tactics because a) they can't govern and have gotten themselves into a heap of shit and 2) they have no other idea how to respond beyond divide and conquer. And that only works for so long. (Like Lincoln said, you can't fool all of the people all of the time. That point is past.)

The biggest worry I have is that they will trigger a big event that will refocus attention on security. (At the very least, I think they let 9/11 happen. There is just too much evidence that they were derelict in their protective duties.)

11. I think we've reached it too.
They strained the public trust beyond its stretching point, and they are now going to pay.

Because of 9/11 the large majority of the public wanted to believe in them. A lot of people have held on to that faith for way too long, but the point is that once people don't trust you any more you're cooked. No number of public threatenings, unhinged Karl Rove speeches, and staged pep rallies will take the public back there.

They abused the public trust. My fears now center on their control of the media. I say every day thank god for Air America, Ed Schultz, and Stephanie Miller. Did you read Frank Rich's column today? It was about the true agenda behind the gutting of PBS.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. Ever since that survey ws published last year about how the best informed americans got their news from PBS, they least informed from Fox. I thought, oh shit. It gave them a roadmap for complete domination of the news. Thank gosd as well for people like Frank Rich (when he's in his non-snarky persona) and Bill Moyers, who is now threatening to un-retire.

14. I really hate these people more and more every day
I know it's not nice to hate, but WTF. I'm like you though Tay Tay, I do worry what kind of cataclysmic event they will trigger when they're backs are totally up against the wall. There will come a time (soon probably) when the diversionary tactics just won't work any more. I'm really afraid these people will not go down quietly.

2. Who does the first poster on that link remind you of?
He says he enlisted after he had gotten his degree - he says "he could have easily sat at home and watched the war on TV like Karl." Hmmmm. That sounds like our man John when he volunteered for Viet Nam while all of the chicken hawks stayed home saying how great the war was.

The chicken-hawks like Bush, Cheney, Bolton and Delay all stayed home and cheered on the troops from a discrete but patriotic distance. (Go, go you fine Americans. I support you all the way. Now, where did I put that deferment form. Too bad I couldn't join up because the minorities had taken all the best spots. We did have other priorities, ya know.) Bastards.

5. Now that I think about it (I'm a little slow sometimes)
This is probably one of the reasons why Kerry jumped in Karl's shit so quickly after what he said. He was not only insulting the Democratic and liberal leaning soldiers who are fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan now, he was also insulting all of the Democratic and liberal leaning soldiers who had ever fought, bled and died for this country. I'm sure this made John absolutely livid. Bastards is right.

6. The Doughboy Bastard is a walking insult to America
Edited on Sun Jun-26-05 12:35 PM by TayTay
This son of a bitch believes that in a time of war, when our troops are being denied legitimate benfits and are being asked to fight a war without the proper equipment, armor or sufficient backup forces, that his role is to divide the nation.

This insult to humanity is no friggin genius. (I am not afraid of him or any of the half-baked, piece of shit, scum who came in with him to power.) He believes that the ends justify the means and that anything that brings victory is fine. He has no morals, no ethics and no sense of decency. It's not difficult to run races when those conditions apply. But it doesn't last. They have NOTHING to show for their rule except a broken economy, an endless war that is costing the US dearly and a stream of measures that have gutted the social structure of America. The f*ckwad realizes that the people are starting to notice, so he is brnging out more ratf*cking tricks. It's all he knows.

This disgusting piece of slime thinks that at a time when the war is going badly for his Dear Leader that it's his duty to go out and promptly blame the downturn on the American People. He is going to the time-tested method of dividing and conquering. It's what these people do. They don't care about the average service person. They don't care about the families at home worried out of their minds about their loved ones in Iraq. He doesn't care about anything but power and how to keep it. He is dividing and conquering, in a time of war. If that doesn't earn him a place in the hottest part of hell, I don't know what will. I hate that two-faced little coward. In his own way, he is turning into a Tokyo Rose or Hanoi Hannah.

15. What, I can't say what's on my mind?
Edited on Sun Jun-26-05 08:00 PM by TayTay
This is the John Kerry forum, not the 'be kind to friggin doughboy bastards who use the images of the innocent dead to pimp for their morally bankrupt masters' forum. (Besides, that doesn't fit well on a bumper sticker, I tried.)

I'm a nice person, but that guy kind of pisses me off. I am normally full of the milk of human kindness. I sweat compassion, ferchristsakes. (Eowey, the imagery on that is awful. But true.) I would love to go for the trifecta and have some mercy on these people, but I can't go there yet. Sorry.

This douchebag has played the race card at will in order to win campaigns. He caused those 'Democrats are trying to ban the Bible' cards to be sent out in West Virginia. He is a bottom-feeding ethically-challenged thug who couldn't sink any lower if fell into a friggin well. He is a public parasite, a cancerous blight on the body politic and a bile-exuding piece of rotting scum who deserves a deep come-uppance from a public that is finally tiring of his deceptive and vile public excretions. In other words, I am not fond of him at all.

There, I feel better now. That is how I really feel. (My sister would tell me that I've got my Boston up and running. She claims that real Massholes don't take shit from anyone and never back away from an argument or a descriptive sentence. Guilty as charged.)

EDIT: Really, I've scrapped better things than him off my shoes. And now I will retire from any more Doughboy comments, as I have said my piece and can move on.

7. Have you been here yet ?
http://leonardclark.com/blog/

Today 6/26/05 at 3:30am PST he left these two recordings. Note his comments on Karl Rove’s latest comments regarding “liberals” aiding “terrorists.” This is a “liberal” that is proud to be one, and he is strapping on armor every day to defend an occupation that was based off a lie. This is one “liberal” taking bullets for this administration.

8. Ok
Now I feel like an idiot, TayTay beat me to it. But I guess it doesn't hurt to post it again. In fact I probably would of posted it sooner, but had to listen to it more than once, then had my husband listen, we are so very angry at this dipshit administration. :argh:

That link can't be put up often enough. Those recordings are incredible. How much would you love to see him speaking like this on the senate floor?

10. I Just saw that site yesterday.
Good for them. Not that we thought they lacked courage - obviously - but this is showing real grit. And thoughtfulness. A hell of a lot more thoughtfulness than the administration that put them in this position has shown or will ever show.

13. Great blog read--thanks
They do indeed remind me of JK in '71. Those guys know what's really going on, and have a right to speak.

To Rove-rat, it's all just a great big game. Speak at a function and throw in a little smear on the Dems--ha,ha, ha. Chickenhawk. He had no idea this would blow up in his face. We do give this guy too much credit. We get an idea that a guy is really smart, and then attribute all sorts of stratigizing to what he does, rather than take it at face value as a screw-up.

These people don't scare me either, TayTay, because they are going down. I feel it in my gut. My gut-O-meter: when I can look at * or Rove-rat or Rummy and not have a feeling of dread, that means that I see them as going down and therefore less of a threat. And I've been doing that for about a week now. :)

I'm really proud of JK for leading the charge on this one. No one is more fit to do it. Any combat vet, Dem or Repub, should be very ashamed of themselves if they do not sign on, too.

Thank you for telling it like it is. I thoroughly enjoyed reading that actually.

Ya know, the one thing that keeps going through my mind since the election is how could this man have been reelected. I mean, I know logically why he was reelected, it was because we are at war and no president has ever been replaced during wartime. But couldn't the people have made an exception just this once for the idiot running our country. I mean, it's never been this bad. It's not as if George Bush is doing well on a few issues and bad on a few others, I can name not one area where he has done well.

Rove is one of those people who's whole existence is an affront to decency. I genuinely, ahm, really and honestly don't like the jerk. I wish he would slink back under his rock and stop trying to drag America into the sewer.
Yuck!

The Nation wasn't ready yet. (Even if there was fraud, there still was no sustained public outcry over the election results in Nov.) It happens. We will get there. It just takes time and sustained effort.
