When someone says it would have been suicide for a Dem to come out fighting, and one of these people replies with, "So what," I picture just the sort of person you described. Easy enough to call for someone else to ruin their lives, but are THEY getting off their butts? Oh no, of course not.

I knew a middle aged guy who used to have revolutionary fantasies like that. At the college newspaper, we used to say that if the revolution actually happened, he'd miss the damn thing in a drunken stupor. He talked a good game, but he was pretty much a lump otherwise.

And furthermore, Kerry's already accomplished more in his life than some of these people could ever hope to accomplish if they never get off their butts.

I'm sick to death of arguing with them too - been doing it for well over a year now, going on a year-and-a-half - and of having to defend a man who has proven himself over and over and over again.

The thing it's important to remember, is that there really are not very many of them. It was the same before the primaries and during a lot of the election season - "Kerry has no idea what he's doing."
