i'm going to miss him. he was one of the best. especially with the media we have today he really stood out.

2. I remember watching him even in the 1960s

He was really cute! Especially compared to the other, older anchors. They wanted to attract young viewers, and he was the way to do it. He would wear kind of "mod" clothes and even had his hair permed in those days--think "Carnaby Street"--us older ones will remember that look.

i didn't click on it since it still hurts especially with the added fact that Jennings is gone now.

but it was a very good one. another good one was the in depth one he did during the primary campaign. he did it on all the dem candidates running and the Kerry one probably got the best response or reviews and considering Kerry is not nearly as popular as some others on DU that is saying a lot.

9. Incredibly sad news

Peter was one of my idols, and I really enjoyed him as a reporter and an anchor. What I loved is even though he smoked for so long, he still pushed to hold the government and tobacco companies accountable for things like kid smoking and etc. He'll truly be missed. Man, network news is taking a lot of blows lately. :( This one obviously the sadest, since he's gone. May he RIP!
