1. It's my Friday night
because I'm on vacation till next Thursday, so you have to put up with my silly mood for a few more hours, then I'm off :P to NYC.

You can find anything on the net. Here's a guy whose hobby is taking pictures of celebrities playing ping pong. Seriously.

Here's your John Kerry table tennis flipbook:

6. that's a funny coincidence, whome
I'm leaving tomorrow on a four-day camping trip. Guess the rest will just have to fend for themselves! :)

Add ping pong to his long list of sports! Why didn't he just get it over with and become an Olympic athlete--lol.

Have a nice vacation!

8. Thanks!! You too!!
We're the backwards family - off to NY when all sane people are headed away from the city. But we'll get to see our son for the first time in a few months. And there will be a lot of jazz. So I'm happy.

7. I Googled JK and golf--
and yes, golf too! An article from the Globe, 2003:

"Among his more traditional recreational activities are golf, skiing, sailing, and ice hockey, a sport he once played regularly but now plays only on occasion."

http://www.boston.com/globe/nation/packages/kerry/062103b.shtml

Never met a sport he didn't like, I guess.

10. About Ice hockey... (yes he can do it)

Sorry I don't have links or pics but this reminds me of a discussion I had with a guy at work. He isn't a huge Kerry fan, but likes him okay - I'm working on making him a serious JK fan but that's another story. Anyway this guy is a HUGE hockey fan so the topic came up about JK playing benefit games with big name players. It seems the right-wing yahoos like limppole and o-liely were chortling something to the effect that JK "wasn't really playing - the big guys didn't even hit him or anything". My coworker thought this was just outrageous and a little hilarious, because *this is the way celebrity benefit games work*. And criminy, JK is 60 years old - what the fuck would you expect?

Some more context is at the time I had this conversation, I had this coworker pegged as a mean Dean guy. So it was heartening to hear him go off on the idiocy around the RW's twisting of JK's good work in playing celebrity hockey games, and saying good things about JK in the process.

12. John Kerry, Marvin "Chief of Stuff" Nicholson and golf
Here's an article about Kerry's "Chief of Stuff" I remembered reading a while back. It's delicious cat nip and talks about (among other things) JK playing golf.

it took me to this site.

We are not alone boys and girls:hug:

There is other Kerry life out there.
Yes - there are the ones that trash him, but believe me, they are nothing like our fellow DUers.

There are some awesome pro-Kerry posts there.
After the other nite, this is a welcome find;)

17. Different, yet just the same
One of the first things I read (referring to the kind of president we need) said:

"Americans like morons. We need somebody stupid ... maybe a southerner!"

That kind of made my blood boil. Sorry to be so sensitive about that subject, but you just get sick of hearing it after a while. (And silly me, I didn't realize Carter and Clinton were stupid.)

I'll leave it at that because that one comment doesn't set the tone for the site entire which seems to be good overall and very Kerry supportive like you said. Good find!
