13. I need that one, I had to design my own.
But a Kerry was right sticker would look great on my car.

Someone on DU has a sticker that says

Kerry 1.

When I first saw it, I thought it said Kerry was #1, and then I read it again, and liked it even more.

8. A guy selling discount tickets at the State Fair
had a sticker on his cart. Made me smile.

And as I got lost today, I found a behavioral therapy center in a dead end street, and there was a bumpersticker. Intelligent people know how to vote!

9. If anyone is interested,
I have six John Kerry 2008 bumper stickers and about the same amount of pins stating the same, that I would be willing to part with individually or in pairs, for free of course, except for the cost of a self addressed stamped envelope. One stipulation though, they must be going to a good home-promise? If anyone is interested, please message me.

I have some Kerry 2008 bumperstickers and a few Support Kerry '08 bracelets (livestrong style, but blue). Free, of course.

16. Had my "simple pleasure" moment on 7/22 in Paris
Edited on Thu Aug-18-05 07:54 AM by beachmom
Okay, that sounds exotic but not really. We had flown to Paris (with two small children in toe), and missed our connecting flight to Frankfurt. We were DEAD tired, annoyed with Air France, and were waiting for another flight so we could get to Germany for some rest. At the gate where we were waiting, I looked over, and saw that Air France had stacks of newspapers out that you could take for free. I had vaguely heard that another bombing attempt had happened in London on 7/21 so I wanted to read about it. There were only two English speaking newspapers -- Wall Street Journal (Int'l edition) and the Financial Times. As I was trying to decide which one to take a picture of a person in the left hand corner of the Times caught my eye -- was I hallucinating from exhaustion and imagining that that wasn't the one and only esteemed, dashing senator from Massachusetts on the front page of the Financial Times? Indeed it was, along with an editorial from him about corporate taxes (one of you posted an entry on it) on the inside. It was like the guy was telling me, "Welcome to Europe, beachmom, relax, have a good time!" I held onto that paper for my whole trip, looking at it when my in-laws upset me (we were all packed into a small apartment for 2 1/2 weeks, difficult circumstances to keep the peace). How's that for a "moment of Zen"?

17. I visited Albuquerque last week
While there, I saw something like 30 Kerry stickers, and only three Shrub ones. If that state is red, I'm the queen. :eyes: Nice place to visit, by the way. Very mellow.

18. I wore my K/E election day t-shirt yesterday.
First time I've worn it in public since Nov.
No comments from anyone at the car wash, liquor store, grocery store, but I think I'll try it again next weekend and see what happens.
I love that shirt.
:-)

21. "Kerry Was Right" bumper sticker
will have the biggest impact. Choosing a leader who can assess situations intelligently is what we desperately need in our president. Many voters who didn't know enough back during the election, and thought it would be a bad decision to change presidents in the middle of war will be more willing on looking over where are country has headed since last November.
As for some people, they will never change. We can only try to reach to the people that are open enough to listen.

24. I'm bummed
Today for some reason I saw A LOT of Shrub stickers. Luckily, at the last stop I had to make I saw a Kerry/Edwards sticker so that helped to ease the pain. I live in an area where we have a lot of tourists (or as I prefer to call them, damn people who don't know how to drive) so it's always interesting to see cars from other states and the political stickers on their cars. Today not withstanding, I usually see about an equal number of Shrub and Kerry stickers.

25. Seeing the K/E or Kerry stickers on cars is the best.
Still many, many of them on vehicles in my neck of the woods. Sometimes it makes being stuck behind a person going reeeeaaalllllyyyy slow in the ultra-fast lane bearable and even fun. Today, I had to cruise for five miles behind a couple going like 25 mph in a 45 zone and the only thing that kept my head from exploding was the K/E sticker still proudly displayed on the back window (!) of their brand new Jeep. Next to the blue/white "Support Peace" magnetic ribbon. Ah, blue staters. Gotta love 'em.
