1. Someone posted a link to this site in GD a month or so ago
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 09:00 PM by Island Blue
and I also found it fascinating. I spent an entire rainy afternoon checking the site out and changing my opinions about people biased on their political donations. (Perhaps I should get a life. ) I was surprised by some folks like Mohammad Ali who donated heavily to Rethugs.

4. It's important to click on the name
to see when the donations were made and to whom. That's why THK has "R" donations.
Really. Fascinating, IMO. Check out Howard Dean. What's up with that?

6. Also those are federal donations since 1978 - at that time THK was a R.
My only surprise is Chris Matthews.

I guess a few people on GDP will be surprised by Lou Dobbs, but there should really be no surprise there.

9. Not surprised by Matthews...
He and Kerry and friends. They do have a job to do, reporters and maybe they cover bias by being biased? Does that make sense?

10. Matthews is a whore
i can understand covering bias with bias to a point. but what he does is called whoring and for the republicans. Kerry is nice to everyone but even he understands the whores for what they are based on what he has said. the only thing is he doesn't take it personally which is good since there is no way he could survive in politics if he did.

i also wish Kerry would stop going on that whore imus' show.

14. I would never have guessed they were friends at all
I actually thought Matthews was incredably hard on Kerry. He really made a huge issue of Kerry's grades (a non-story if there ever was one) - saying THK didn't know her husband well, then showing a clip where Teresa talked about Kerry's intelligence and then made a crack about identity fraud.

15. I hope that Kerry chooses his friends better than that
Matthews is a great friend of the myth " Kerry is a bad campaigner and has no charisma" .

He also said he voted for Bush in 2000.

7. I think it's also interesting how many creative people
(i.e. actors, musicians, etc.) contribute almost solely to Democratic candidates and causes with a few exceptions. (For example, the Rethugs seem to have a lock on game show hosts.) So, are these folks creative because they are Democrats or are they Democrats because they are creative?

Bad link? Go to the business execs tab and check out Walden O'Dell (Diebold).
Contributions to RNC State Elections Committee.

edit
When did they buy those machines, anyway? Could it have been early 2001?

20. I don't know when they bought those machines
but it sure seems like a you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours relationship.

The other day when I was at the drive-up window at my Credit Union, I noticed a guy from Diebold working on the ATM machine. It was all I could do not to jump out of the car and yell at him even though I'm quite sure this guy had no personal responsibility for the stolen election. Guilt by association.

21. How could this possibly be true?

"that paperless electronic voting is good for Democrats - and his connections in Democratic circles."

Has he been living in a cave or something?

I think he needs a good "talking to".

:wtf:

On edit, maybe there's a reason for this? Hmmm...

Seems this guy has some Bill & Hillary ties. (At least that's what some of the folks in GD said, so you have to take that with a grain of salt I suppose.)

23. OK, now I'm just becoming paranoid.
"that paperless electronic voting is good for Democrats - and his connections in Democratic circles."

And it seems like he has Bill and Hillary ties?

I am trying to keep from putting those two statements together.

Paperless evoting is not good for anyone. Who would even make that claim? Even if there is nothing untoward intended, it does not help the cause of transparency.

Help.
