http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=2024694&mesg_id=2024694This guy isn't an unreasonable Deanbot, just a far left pacifist. I know he's wrong about Kerry's positions, and I need someone more knowledgeable than me to back me up (Mass, blm?). I understand that he's pretty much against any Iraq plan other than "out now", but regardless, Kerry is NOT a "right wing hawk."

2. I gave him that link about Kerry's speech on June 28th |

If there's a better one, feel free to let me know. This guy is actually reasonable, though I don't think I'm gonna make him a Kerry fan, but at least discussing with him isn't like this :banghead: like it is with *some* DUers.

5. I don't think I'm going to convince him |

He's definitely part of the "out now" crowd... but I just wanted him to stand corrected about the Shinseki 300,000 troops thing.

they'll still argue. I had to laugh at the poster who put there are no moderate Democrats. What planet does he/she live on ? So in his/her mind a moderate is DLC, thats news to me , I thought a DLC'er was centrist. I took one of those test during the campaign, and I thought I was very liberal, funny thing is the results listed me as moderate. Guess because I like to be fiscally responsible it has nothing to do with the war for I was always anti-war.
Maybe they should go over and visit the thread that is praising Hagel, the heck with everythiong he doesn't stand for in our party, but hell he made one little statement, and he gets glorified by those on the far left.

7. and he didn't say anything that JK hasn't said |
|
in fact all he mostly does is what he thinks we should do but he isn't going to push BUsh to do anything. KErry has gone much further than he has. and he has not called for withdrawal as many of them are claiming.
kind of like, yeah, Bush sucks on the war but i'm against abortion rights, and support tax cuts for big business so i'm still going to support him.

the purpose of DU groups is not to callout other posts elsewhere on the board.
