I guess Sen. Kerry is home
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 08:39 AM by TayTay
Goody. Maybe I can go see a speech soon. I would like to see the 'listening tour' come to Lowell (or Worcester or maybe even Boston.)

He was at Fenway PArk last night for the Rolling Stones concert. Per the Globe:

"The Stones were clearly on a mission to prove they could still rock. With celebrity guests Whoopi Goldberg, John Kerry, and Sox owner John Henry in the house, the Stones blistered through their first three songs (''Start Me Up," ''You Got Me Rocking," and ''Shattered") in tight-combo, clubland fashion. "

2. Yup. Home. At Fenway. Geez, did you see this story?
http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/articles/2005/08/24/sox_seek_landmark_status_for_fenway/

I wonder where the Red Sox ownership can find someone to help them shepard their request through the federal system so that they can get some help with this. If only they knew someone in DC? If only they had shnown up last Oct/Nov at rallies for the Dem nominee? IF only they could get some high powered help in their quest to get Landmark status.

I love my Sen. I love the Red Sox. But I gotta tell ya, this is pretty good stuff.

3. Hey, did anyone ever see this meaningless but cute award
For the Smartest State:

Wow. Mass is #1 for the second year in a row (or maybe more.) Great! How'd your state do? (And PA will go up once Santorum leaves after next year's election.)

Doesn't mean much, but it is amusing.

10. Hey kiddo, will do!
I know he's on the East Coast anyway. (The BRAC commission thingee.) I was hoping he would do some 'listening' around here so's I could go see him. You know, he is my Senator. Is it too much to ask to want to see my Senator in Massachusetts every now and then? Maybe a speech or two, a stroll around the Common every now and then, maybe a ride in a Swan Boat or something? (I never think this way about Teddy. I just don't. It's not the same.)

A nice concert on the Esplanade. A glass of wine at the hotel bar. Then it's all hearts and flowers, I promise.

What was I talking about? I forgot.

Is this why my little poll revealed male lurkers? They want to see 'Dem Women Going Wild.'
