I think this is a registered site, but I can't remember registering for the (Yuck) Pittsburgh Times-Review. (Scaife Newspaper.)

Kerrys to host picnic for Casey

"Help is on the way" for Democrat Bob Casey Jr. in his bid to unseat Republican Sen. Rick Santorum next year in what is being billed as the hottest race in the country.
The rallying cry didn't do much for John Kerry's presidential ambitions, but the Massachusetts senator will visit the Pittsburgh region Sept. 24 to raise money for Casey's campaign. Kerry; his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry; and her son Chris are hosting a $1,000-a-plate picnic for Casey, the state treasurer, at Heinz Kerry's Fox Chapel estate.

"There's a lot of enthusiasm for Bob Casey's candidacy in Pittsburgh," said Casey campaign manager Jay Reiff.

Kerry used his wife's Western Pennsylvania residence last year as a staging area in his effort to carry the Keystone State against President Bush. Although he lost the election, Kerry won Pennsylvania.

1. Thanks for posting this.
I refuse to pay money for this trash paper and unfortunately, that means I don't get access local news a lot of times.
I would love to attend and this event and have an opportunity to hear Kerry speak in person once again, but it's to steep for my pocket book ($1,000.00 a plate). I have given money and have volunteered my time for Casey's upcoming campaign though.I feel strongly that Santorium has got to go!

2. Watch the papers and see if he holds any free events
He did this in Boston. He attended a fund-raiser for a local pol that cost $110. He also made an appearance at a free event in which anyone could come.

Check the papers. See if anything is setup. And, ahm, this is the weekend of the Pro-Common Sense Rally in Washington DC. (I can't completely call it anit-war. It's beyond that. It's a wake up call to the Admin to aply some sense to what is going on in Iraq. It's even more basic than anti-war.)
