So, what do you think the 'Major Address' will be about on 9/19 |
|
I am very, wicked curious about what this is going to be about. Katrina and the bungled Fed response? Iraq and the bungled, well, everything? Something from out of left field.?
What do you think?
From the PR: Senator John Kerry will deliver a major address at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, on Monday, September 19

1. He hasn't really talked about |
|
his trip to Iraq yet. I imagine he has some stuff to say about that (note use of ironic understatement.) Dan Senor was on Bill Maher, puffing up the wonders of what we are accomplishing over there that isn't being reported by the - yawn - librulUSmedia.
God knows, he has enough of a backlog of things to say that he could talk for a week.

2. I have this odd feeling that this is gonna be a good one |
|
I honestly do. I'm going. I got the time off. I hav no takers on others coming, so I'm going alone. I just got this feeling that this might be worth the trip all the way to Providence. (Boston humor, all the way to Providence is 90 minutes.)

3. I was about to write something |
|
really snarky and then thought better of it. Sometimes I forget that there are a lot of people reading this stuff.
I'll PM you again with the snark.
I think you may be right about this speech.

but a bit to far. But will expect a great report and lots of pictures from you. I think it will be on everything this administration has screwed up. The Katrina disaster is just an eye opener of how much this government is not doing the so called "its hard work".
I don't trust anything coming out of the mouths of the Republican crony government.

5. I've been told it's very very good... |
|
but not about Iraq. I thought it would be, since nothing has been said since the trip. Economy, perhaps, given the Katrina mess.

7. Okay, then, I like that. |
|
All the great witty lines this week have been leading up to something then. I can extrapolate the rest.
Should be interesting, KG. And as a transplanted New Englander, you appreicate the humor about not wanting to go '60 miles' to Providence. Good Lawd, all that way. I believe Californians regard 60 miles as trip to the grocery store, whereas in NE it's a major trip. LOL!

Out here in LA we say it's about 30 minutes to anywhere. Of course traffic turns it into 60 minutes.
