I often find the damnest things when I am looking for something else. I found this tidbit when I was actually looking for conservative funding against Kerry through the years. This is for WEL, for reasons that will become apparent:
From: Election '96 Kerry gets the nod from Mass. voters

Clinton, who stumped with Kerry Sunday in Springfield, buoyed Kerry and Democratic congressional candidates.
The junior senator swept women voters and late-deciding independents who deserted Weld's Senate campaign in the final days.
Exit polls showed female voters fueled Kerry's victory. Kerry opened up a wide gender gap with the governor, drawing nearly 60 percent of the female vote and 80 percent of women between 18 and 29 years old.
Kerry even ran well among those who four years ago voted for Ross Perot, who endorsed Weld in a Boston ceremony last week. Exit polls showed Kerry won a 40 percent slice of '92 Perot voters.
I had forgotten how strongly the woen's vote was in '96. I just thought you might enjoy this historical note.
