If you oppose Dean, you must be DLC, wtf, some oppose Dean because they think they're better people for that job.

3. Yeah well, ideologues are like that |

I'll accept Dean. In fact, I think he'd make a good head of the DNC. That doesn't mean someone else can't do a good job either. Unless their name is Roemer, but that's beside the point.

4. yes I dont like what I hear about Roemer |

Yeah I dont have a pick, I am sure Dean would be ok though I do worry he could alienate the south, he really alienated me in the primaries when he sterotyped southerners.

5. That could be problematic |

I'm just a little worried that the party is moving to the right. I'm not (obviously) a left wingnut but I'd sooner not see my party become more like the Republican party.

I went to read some of that Chris Heinz thread. Wow, people are super, super ignorant. It would be funny if it wasn't so maddening.

11. Dean is a powerful force on DU |
|
if he loses this race perhaps he can be installed as the ruler of DU.
I wouldn't mind Dean being the DNC chair one bit, the man can craft some very good language about being a Democrat and is highly sucessful at fundraising and grassroots energizing. But as you allude to in this thread Dean has made some whopper statements that will haunt him and worry me if the party could handle more with him the constant spotlight.
Rosenberg seems like a smart choice, or alternative to Dean. I'm intrested in both of them
Roemer doesn't seem like he could handle the big and chaotic tent this party is. His positions on many issues are out of the Democratic mainstream too often, I doubt he will secure the position. If he does I'm not expecting Democrats to pledge their allegence to Republicans and promptly disband. Some people are still depressed and hurt from this nasty election.

Roemer I dont think will be it, he doesnt seem to have the right stuff. Dean while he does put his foot in his mouth does have a good fundrasing capability and is outspoken.
