Interesting as all hell that Mamma T donated to Murtha last election cycle |
|
I've been playing over at www.opensecrets.org.
Type in Heinz by "who gives" and see who comes up.
The Heinz Corporation is heavily Republican.
But Mamma T has given to Barney Franks, Teddy, Murtha and Boxer.
I typed in Kerry, and saw what Cameron and one of the Kerry girls had given.

1. That is interesting. All very good people. Doesn't it make you wonder |
|
about the one-two punch that Kerry and Murtha delivered to the Administration?

3. That, my friend, is one of the reasons I posted this |
|
and am making something of a big deal about it.
And then there is the story from the campaign where Murtha was feeding info to the Kerry campaign regarding the possible increase in reservist call-ups right after the election if Bush got in. And it happened too if I'm not mistaken.
I do indeed think they work together. And I'm wondering if they aren't playing good cop, bad cop in that Murtha coming out just as Kerry was publicizing his plan in the media makes me think that Murtha's plan was designed to make Kerry's sound more reasonable.

4. It wouldn't surprise me in the least. |
|
Or maybe Murtha got angry that Kerry's plan was largly being ignored. Either way, they certainly seem to have each other's back.
Murtha: okay, they are ignoring Kerry...well they won't be able to ignore this...
Kerry: how dare you attack Murtha, you cowardly chickenhawks...take that...

2. She always gives to PA candidates. |
|
And she's not affiliated with the Heinz Corporation anymore, so it's not too surprising those things don't line up.
I don't know, but I'm guessing that a lot of THK's political donations are based on personal relationships and not party-line stuff. I remember, for example, when she endorsed a Democrat who was running for her late husband's Senate seat because he was a family friend (and naturally a better choice than Santorum.)

5. We know she despises Santorum |
|
And would probably support anyone opposing him. I know she and JK have been putting significant money and effort into Casey's campaign.
