Cantwell, Di-Fi, Kerry, Lautenberg, and Lieberman (welcome back to the Democratic party, Joe). I sensed a great deal of unity and resolve!

I think this NSA wiretap thing is still pretty new, and the Dems don't want to go too far out on a limb on it--but I'm sure more will be forthcoming. Feingold seems most outspoken at the moment.

Nixon was brought down by illegal domestic wiretaps, don't forget! I read that Sen. Boxer is consulting presidential scholars on impeachment grounds!

4. The question at the end on the wire taps was interesting

in that the Senators all questioned the "person with links to Al Queda" because there would be no problem getting a judge then - the obvious implication is that the reason was not so obviously national security.
