Is the fight against the DINOs nothing else than a fight against women
senators.

I have seen a lot of threads calling to defeat DiFi, Clinton, Cantwell, but relatively few calling to defeat Baucus, Conrad, Nelson (both of them), Byrd, though all of them are arguably less progressive than the three women that we are supposed to defeat. I am seriously beginning to think that part of it is a prejudice against women. Am I mistaken?

1. Lieberman is the #1 target for defeat
He's the one *everyone* wants gone.

I think that the others you mentioned haven't been as visible as Hillary and haven't raised as many hopes as Cantwell. Not sure what's up with DiFi.

I can't prove it's not about sexism, but I don't know for sure that it is.

2. I didn't think so, but maybe
At first I figured it was just their states, but maybe them being women makes people think they're easy targets or something. The men you mention are in red states, so I understand not targeting them so much. But they really go after Landrieu, and not Lincoln so much. Landrieu presents as a stronger woman than Lincoln. Bingaman, Reed, Carper, they would seem to me to be as likely targets as DiFi, Hillary and Cantwell. It is weird, now you mention it.

4. I hadn't thought so until I saw this
I think it may be partially a different type of visciousness when the target is female. I do agree that just by record alone, Landrieu, Cantwell and Feinstein are targeted far more often than Reed, Carper and Bingaman. (This is most unfair for Landdrieu whose state is far redder than the others.

I think that Hillary and Lieberman are special cases.

I think the Hillary posts are because she was designated our candidate and her treatment was similar to what Kerry got all last year. That Kerry was doing almost everything that they wanted everyone to do and great little things no one thought of til he did them, while Hillary is playing politics; should justif them treating her worse. If anything they were meaner to Kerry. They seem tamer now. So, I really don't think it's that she's a woman, but she's a threat to their favorite.

Lieberman is an exception because he made himself so - I happened to catch him on Hannity when I was driving to the store last week - and he spoke of how he and all his family love Hannity's show. He also accepted Hannity's endorsement, agreed with Hannity that the Democrats had no plans and laughed when Hannity said the Democrats would do better if they listened to him (Lieberman). He also agreed with Hannity when Hannity quoted from the NYT that Democratic leaders were disturbed with some of the Democrats speaking out and then asked if Lieberman thought it was wrong that the party was represented by the HARD LEFT, Dean, Kerry, Kennedy,Gore and Hillary. Lieberman DID NOT challange this characterization.

that you don't see when it comes to men.

5. I hadn't heard this until just now
I've always heard the DINOs list with mostly guys on it. Lieberman tops the list, followed by Ben Nelson, Conrad and Byrd. The women I hear the most about being DINOs are Mary Landrieu and Blanche Lincoln, with Clinton only recently added to the list. I think a lot of people are cutting Landrieu some slack lately, because of everything her state has been through.

6. I don't think so at all. And I don't believe in cutting anyone any slack
because they are either female OR from a red state. I am heartily sick of these people and I don't have any respect for them. They have proven to me that they have no interest in the citizens of this nation and are only representing themselves and their own interests. But that is politics I suppose and I HATE that aspect. And we NEED a Dem majority to have some control sigh. BUt one thing I know, I would have a hard time voting for them. I honestly WOULN"T vote for an anti choice Dem. I would stay home. But I would NEVER vote for the GOP bastards.(Unless it was a really good one and they were pro -choice! There used to be such a thing!)
