1. That is a sweet story and a sweet thread |
|
I love these 'revelations' that John Kerry is a fairly normal, albeit highly intelligent, human being. I love the threads that acknowledge that someone who has been successful in high level politics can actually be 'good with people.' They make me both want to smack myself on the forehead and smile at the same time.

14. Have it your way, my dear. |

I actually had a discussion with someone over whether or not the Burger King Super Bowl ad with women dressed as tomato slices, pickles and such was offensive to women. She argued that it should be deconstructed as a post-feminist willingness of women to play with the images of their own bodies. The counter-argument, of course, was that it was not a good thing to see women dressed as food and throwing themselves on 'the meat.'
Sigh! The argument goes on. I can see both sides.

We should form an exploratory committee and investigate forthwith!

I'm torn between saying he ought to stop eating that fast food junk because we need him to live as long as possible; and wanting to know his secret for being able to eat yummy burgers and fries and stay so damned skinny!!!
But isn't life peculiar, just 2 years later and he's sitting alone in an airport. Contemplating the peculiarity of it all, and the fact that he's in a stupid airport in Wyoming while the world is plummeting into complete chaos. :freak:

How different the world would be right now if JK wasn't sitting in the BK in eating burgers and fries.
Oh, and if only his personal secret for staying thin could only be bottle and sold - the American people would elect him President for life!

33. Well, they are probably healthier than McDonalds burgers. |
|
And he does need some fat in his diet, especially where he's so thin. He probably burns off all the calories he can consume because he works so hard and exercises a lot. And when he's not on the road, I'll bet Teresa makes him tow the mark diet-wise. The man is certainly no couch potato. I'd say he deserves a yummy burger every now and then, and some chocolate chip ice cream too!
In all honesty, I'd be curious to see what JK would look like, say 25lbs heavier. I bet he'd look FANTASTIC! (I'm not talking 25lbs around the middle. This guy is athletic.)

47. Exactly. There was a point somewhere around ten years ago when he |
|
looked in really fantastic shape. When he's at optimal weight his face fills out and he looks far better on camera too. Not to mention, that he looks healtier with a little more weight, especially as he ages. Makes him look younger.

|
What do these people do? I remember during the Dem Convention the local news had a guy who looked sort of like Sen. Kerry running around Faneuil Hall and I couldn't figure out what he got out of it. (Plus, I think he was only 5'11" or so, so it wasn't like you could mistake him for the 6'$" or so Kerry.)
Is there a lot of money in pretending to be pols?
