Did anybody watch SNL last Sat nite? grrrrrrrrrrrrrr............. |
|
I rarely watch, but was home, relaxing in front of the tv...
During the news segment they had a piece about some woman in India that is going to windsurf across some strait in India. yep - then they said (paraphrasing here) 'Gee, no one has done that since Kerry windsurfed away from the Presidency in 2004'. They had our favorite Kerry windsurfing pic to go along with their little snark.
And, to top it off, the news also included 2 little snarky "Jew" comments.
WTF? SNL sure has changed alot since the days when I used to watch it on a regular basis.
It'll be a loooooong time since I watch again.

me want to explode. I can't tell you how many off-the-wall mentions of Kerry I've come across in the last two days (Kennedy too).

2. I agree with both of you, but think the answer is |
|
the cartoon: Where the first 2 frames have the characters list all the problems of the Bush administration. The last one has the young boy ask why people didn't vote for the other guy and the answer was "he windsurfed".
It's great because it points out the absurdity of that entire line of attack. (Especially because we know if Bush could stand up for 5 minutes windsurfing, we would have had photos and articles praising his coordination, balance, and atheletic prowess coming out in dozens of articles. After all we DID see him on his bike - even though I think he fell off more than any kid I ever knew.

4. I've got to get a copy of that and post it in work in my "Kerry shrine." |
|
That's what people call my little Kerry corner of my cube. Now that I've got a photo of myself with the senator up there too, it's inviting conversation. One guy said he saw Kerry on MTP and was impressed. He said to let him know if I heard of any upcoming JK appearances in NH. Yes!
The cartoon will be just the thing to make a point with the Repugs in work. One lady still has a Bush yard sign up in her cube. I shudder and want to cross myself whenever I walk by. Was the cartoon a Doonsbury?
