My kingdom for John Kerry's metabolism!
Okay, my kingdom is really tiny. I might only be able to afford half of JK's metabolism which would still be faster than the one I currently have! Life just isn't fair.

Sources say only a handful of people noticed John Kerry and his pantsuited wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry , who ate outside on the restaurant's patio a mere baseline-length away. His best accessory for the evening? A voracious appetite. Kerry tore through most of the bread basket (sorry, Teresa), attacked his radicchio salad and dived into the main course, pausing only to courteously acknowledge four young women who approached his table with well wishes. Both Kerrys kicked back with a drink -- white wine for him, a mojito for her.

1. LOL! I'll bet he wishes he had a cloak of invisibility at times!
It's nice to hear that they could could go out to dinner fairly undisturbed.

At least they don't have a contingent of Secret Service around them...yet. :)

2. The guy was hungry at a restaurant and this is news?
The Washington Post is becoming more and more the newspaper of choice for morons. Imagine that, hungry people at a restaurant. Think pretty soon they'll notice that people who are sick get meds at a pharmacy? It could happen.

Damn Senator, don't you know that you are supposed to go to restaurants only when you are not hungry? That way the press can tell people how you were desultory and seemed uninterested in the food or the ambiance of eating with Yankee players around you. Geez, hungry people eating in a restaurant. How gauche.

3. Sorry for posting meaningless fluff.
It's all my (recovering) migraine-riddled brain could handle tonight. I guess this was in the "gossip" section of the Post. You'd think they'd have enough real news to keep them busy but apparently not.

4. I think it's cute.
Thanks for posting it. I needed some fluff.

I also don't think Tay was chastising you for it. JMHO.

5. I was chiding the incredible stupidity of the Post
They can't seem to cover important breaking news or read their own war correspondents accounts for purposes of constructing lucid Editorials, but they can tell us their are hungry people in restaurants.

I would never chide IB. She is too wonderful, sweet, knowledgeable and fun. And I am glad she posted this. The WaPo is just a Rethug rag lately.

7. Good post. Thanks for the recipe.
I am missing all the ingredients except mint, rum and sugar, or I'd be drinking one now.
I do have creme de framboises and lemon juice, so I may experiment. I'll let you know how it turns out.

11. Thanks for coming over!
We have heard from KerryVisionary and now you! I adore your site. I check it all the time. You guys are fun, smart and have a terrific knowledge of all things Kerry. (Including the lovely ties.)

Want some pics from the TBA conf? You would make far better use of them than would I with my poor Photoshop skills. Just ask.

Welcome to this here forum: :patriot:

9. All in all, it's likely one of the more positive things they've written
1) He went to a resteraurant with his WIFE and ate dinner.
2) He had a glass of white wine
3) He was polite to young woman who came over to him. (so I guess they liked him)

What more could anyone want. (Every reseraurant I've gone to refills the bread basket if asked. I seriously doubt Teresa had less than she wanted.) Wasn't Thursday the day the Republicans played games with his amendment?
