Please rec and comment on my DailyKos diary ASAP!! |
|
Here it is: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/6/23/105332/802I'm helping the dipshit Kos out by putting a RELEVANT diary out there. Links to the Dem Daily included, since KG was the one to break this (to me anyway).

I put a blog post up about this too. We need to spread this story around before it gets buried. The news needs to cover this and without Bushco spin!
edit: I also sent an e-mail to Senator Warner about how Kerry was right on Iraq. I asked him to check out the story and then do the honorable thing and admit Kerry was right on the Senate floor. I appealed to his honor as an officer and a gentleman. Not that I expect anything from it, but I hope his staff at least reads it.

Thanks -- did you see that Chris Bowers has stupidly |
|
taken the opposite viewpoint, instead of seeing that Democratic ideas were used. That guy ought to stick to technology.

17. I'm sorry, but I do understand what he's saying...in part. |
|
I don't agree that the negative outcome is a foregone conclusion but I think the lack of unity on the part of Dems does make it easier for the Republicans to spin the situation.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if the Repugs were privy to this coming down the pike. The rabid support for amnesty by some Repugs seemed to be very strange, but if they knew about this Iraqi plan in the works it would make much more sense.
Sure Bushco wanted to kill any Democratic solutions for Iraq because they are back to the walls in the upcominging elections and the only thing that will save their butts is to have some success in Iraq. They couldn't afford to let the Democrats steal that thunder.
I'm not saying that Bush was planning to go along with a timed withdrawal, but it wouldn't surprise me if he was negotiating the Iraqis OUT of this provision in their 28 page peace plan. I don't know what the Repugs talk about behind closed doors but nothing, absolutely nothing, would surprise me.

7. None of the previous diaries on this were sufficient |
|
Unfortunately, FLAG BURNING (Teacherken's post) is more important that the Iraq Peace Plan. What a bunch of idiots.
One person called Murtha and Feingold. Anyone know what Kerry's office reaction to this is.

6. Weird that they call Murtha and Feingold, not Kerry |

I guess he only gets the blame - as permanent scapegoat.

Declaring victory did indeed get them to recommend.
Anybody who wants to continue to engage, that would be great.

Just called Kerry's office. (3+ / 0-) Recommended by: mjd in florida, dynamicdems The young man working the phones pulled up THIS diary on DKos as I spoke with him, and promised to pass it along to Senator Kerry.
Kossacks Kick Ass!
I love the smell of impeachment in the morning!

Cool. I hope he sees this the same way KG and I do. That HE was right.
Also, still need help in commenting -- some idiots are saying the Kerry/Feingold plan HURT negotiations. Yeah right.

It will be interesting to see if he later comments - although that may be unlikely as nothing official was said.
What negotiations? Who are we negotiating with? If that were remotely true, Warner wouldn't have bothered to debate him.

13. The negotiations they are refering to are the caucus ones |
|
because they all wanted to have Reid-Levin's be the standard bearer for the Democratic party. The negotiations were more like arm twisting. Is that what you mean?

The idiots were saying that by Bush saying "no timetable" this was their negotiating chip against the insurgents. And then they said Kerry/Feingold look like fools. No, I don't think so.
There was a reference to a Guardian article that said there is NO timetable in the plan. So I think this thing is still fluid. Maybe the sides are leaking to play off each other. But the Guardian one looks like Levin and the Times one looks like Kerry, so either way, it's all Democratic ideas, NOT Republican.

16. You should post in GD, too. And I like the frame that GOPs rejected Kerry |
|
plan while Iraqis embraced its concept for themselves.

21. Hey MH1 -- that TimmyK guy is a troll |
|
He's absolutely out of control, giving it to you and this military guy. I've decided to ignore him after trying to reason with him earlier. Unlike the Swifties who hit a Kos thread the other day, I don't think he's as trollish as that, so I'm holding my troll fire. But damn, the trolls do come out at night to play, don't they?
I guess it was a fairly slow day, because the diary still is on the Rec list :). The ultimate Peace Plan may not be what was reported in The Times but I guess I'm still pleased that a diary, which had a lot of positive things about Kerry, has been there for what, nearly 9 hours.
Thanks guys for your early recs and encouraging comments. I took bits and pieces from everyone's comments HERE to put the diary together, so a big thanks to all of you for all of your help -- we really do work well together as a team.
