he is on fire. I was applauding and hooting and hollering listening to that speech. What America is missing in having John Kerry as our leader.
Senator Kerry this is for you.

2. Same here - this is great |

This is a really comprehensive plan and he is doing a great job laying this out. I like that he said we can all do something - that's the type of thing Bush can't do.

Just wow. I personally think this is one of the best speeches I've ever heard him make. He's so passionate. He makes so much sense. I love how he ties everything together - you can't fight terrorism without working for energy independence. I also love how he said all Americans need to make sacrifices. (A little bit of JFK influence there I'd say.) Damn this man is so intelligent. I love how he's putting the Washington establishment on notice. This is just brillant.

In 2004, his speech connecting alternative fuel to fix the energy problem with the the environment and the economy - by creating new good jobs was I thought Kerry at his best. Since then what amazes me is that I am more impressed by his foreign policy speech than by anyone else, more impressed when he speaks on economic issues - on the Finance committee, the small business committee and the commerce committee than by any other Senator (though Krugman slightly beats him). It amazes me that he is just so knowlegable on so many things, yet he also has has so much heart. When you add the grace that let him keep his composure last week when anyone else would have cracked, rather than maintaining his composure. (Reid, who is a disgrace, could take a lesson here - he would have been a screaming lunatic. It also had to hurt that some was from his own side. )
