3. The big problem in 2004 may have been Reagan's death |
|
How do you say the "St Ronnie" let cocaine into this country - which destroyed lives - to fund a program that Congress, which controls funding, rejected and even had a law on the books that made it illegal to give money to?
BLM was right - this should have been exposed in 1992, after Bush 1 made all his pardons. It didn't have to be a huge deal - just a final report that contained everything provable. In 2004, Kerry was outlining a positive agenda and dealing with the complexity of Iraq. These charges are explosive and would have appeared to be re-writing history and they deal with Bush 1 and Reagan. Before reading early versions of BLM's posts, I never saw that this was a fundamental Clinton error - and the cost was Bush 2 - but I do now.
Maybe with the curtain lifting on Bush 1, all of this will be re-opened. Politically, it is likely better if it is not Kerry who does this. If all this comes out, he looks great.

5. Guess who the Republican members of the sub-committee were? |
|
Tay Tay's article mentions how Bolton worked with the Republican members to hamper the investigation. On the link, the committee was: Kerry,MA; MOYNIHAN, NY; BROCK ADAMS, Washington;MITCH McCONNELL, Kentucky, and FRANK H. MURKOWSKI, Alaska.
Another reason to dislike McConnell.

6. yes, I remembered Bolton |
|
And mentioned it in that thread.
Mitch McConnell too? I forgot who it was in this forum who said, "please rip his face off!" But now I remember that every time I see him on the Senate floor--and I have to laugh every time--I'm so bad! :)

We're going on vacation so I can read all that now. Out of curiosity, I had looked to see who the other Democrats were. It would be interesting to see if either of them ever commented (they're both disceased.) There had to be many staffers, but the only ones I ever heard about were Kerry ones. It is bad that both Contra drug running and BCCI, 2 incredible Kerry accomplishments that really show how tough, honest, smart and dedicated he is, were not used because history has been hidden. That he had enough credibility without these shows how strong he really is.
Thank you so much for starting the thread here.
