Poll question: Not Extreme Processing (one might appear to be) but a poll and
request for opinions and suggestions. I've been instructed to make some prints for gifts, so I ordered a printer and am beginning to select a few. As usual, I made several at this particular location and am having trouble choosing. So I'm looking for advice, and any suggestions about processing or whatever.

#1

#2

#3

#4

1. I chose three
I like the color of the water and there's an openess about it, as if I could walk into the lagoon. The top two are a little more enclosed and the bottom one is too jarring for me.

3. I picked 3 for the same reason but was torn between that and 2.
I liked the yellow-green light color in #3, but I like the image framing in #2. So I was kind of iffy.

2. I picked #3 too
The first two are framed nicely and have a fairly consistent exposure.....but I like the "hot spot" in #3 and I like that the water seems to flow right off the bottom of the photograph. The 4th is a bit too much IMO.

#2 is the "technically pure" one of the group but #3 is more of a "being there" kinda variation that I really like. My eye was immediately drawn to it.

ahhhh..... flip a coin?

4. Thanks for the comments and ratings (more?)
I have this "that's good but..." way of looking at my pix. I think #4 is the truer picture in some ways, but it needs some softening. #1`is the most literal. #2 the coolest (I like the blue in the leaves). #3 expresses the color and feel best. Maybe.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of the printer. I'm using a couple of old low end monitors and they seem to yield colors close to the slides, but without their brilliance.

5. I voted for 2
I like the white water and the framing. Also the exposure makes it a little mysterious.
