2. Me too
I will take some more this weekend (at least I will try to) but I don't know if I get good pics. And I kinda like that one.

3. sure does!
Nice shot too. Macro photos are fun.. they really give you a different perspective. I've always been fascinated by the intricacies of rope and this is great cuz its all frayed. The grass gives wonderful contrast to the photo as a whole too.

4. I got a zoom with macro for Christmas
I wanna play with that this weekend when I am going to my mom. I will see what comes out of it.

And thanks. I like that picture also.

10. I vote yes also
I think the people who will decide are the lounge voters. They will know the theme. They will see the photos. And they will vote.

Obviously, if somone enters a photos a sunset and calls it marco, it shouldn't be accepted, only to save them face with the lounge.

12. Or the sunset is incidental to being really close
to a "bug's ass"

13. It's definately a close up
But isn't a macro supposed to be a super-duper, bug's ass close, close up? That kind of looks more like the whole bug, to me.

I guess there's a gray area inbetween closeup and macro.

14. We could rename the contest
to: Close up photography (macro) to make the grey area more acceptable?

After all, it's up to us to decide. Er.. i I mean; you :-)

15. that is why I asked
it ain't really a macro picture since I didn't had a macro lens before this Christmas. I will shoot some pictures this weekend. But in case they don't turn out I might wanna join with this picture.

16. I think I'm goign to get
. . . a macro lense because of this thread. I have a little pocket camera I can do macro shots with, but last night I was trying to do macro shots, and the best I could do was to get about six feet back and use a 300mm lense. I think it was more close up's than macros, but, like this, in that gray area. I've shot some with my pocket camera since. (I just got it the other day, so I'm looking for stuff to do anyway.)
