I made this little basket, took a photo of it and now I think I like the photo more than the basket:

1. The photo is nice...

The red chair really draws your eyes away from the basket no matter how hard you try.

...and if you're not liking the basket you can send it to me :9 I love homemade stuff! I will make something (probably out of wood) and send it to you... basket making is something I couldn't do.

that one is a gift for my sis.

dh has been making big wooden bowls- they are awesome.
What do you make?
Me? I might be able to glue some popscicle sticks together...in a stack....

5. I make whatever idea pops into my head :-)

...most of the time when I get done its something different than what I planned, but I guess that's the creative process right? I love to spin bowls on my lathe, or just make little boxes or trinkets.

the basket is crocheted.
I use strips of fabric and a huge, honkin' hook - takes about 1/2 an hour!

This one was an old dress I had and the embroidered star piece was the neckline- I sewed it on the basket when it was finished.

I enjoy 'needlework type crafts- as long as it is on a BIG scale. I do not have the patience for tiny, fancy work.

The crocheting with fabric is very satisfying. Have made some small rugs, too. REALLY fast.
