Here's mine, it's a digital composite:

It could probably still use some work, but I'm pretty happy with it so far. ;)

2. Nice!
I'm not that proficient with Photoshop or any of the image manipulation software yet, maybe one of these days (if I spent less time on DU).

Here's one I did just with Microsoft Image Composer (an old Photoshop-lite application that used to come bundled with MS FrontPage). It has an effects set called 'Impressionist' that applies various combinations of image enhancement profiles to photos. I think this one was some kind of oil chalk or oil paint effect:

3. That looks cool.
I really like those "artistic" settings like that. I have a picture that I took of my great-grandmother about five years ago that I thought looked best as a "watercolor."

I'm really just starting to learn how to use Photoshop. I'm taking a photo class right now and I think that learning the techniques for dark room adjustments has really opened my eyes to the sorts of adjustments that are possible in Photoshop.

For example, here's a picture I took a couple of years ago:

And here's my new version with some added contrast and some burning:

4. Interesting what you can do -- I like the sky.
I'm less inclined to work the logistics of that stuff out now, with the digital, knowing I can 'fix it in the mix' with one of the photo programs, or with Photoshop (we have a copy of it, I just haven't sat down and looked at any of the half-dozen books we bought that are supposed to tell us all the details). I'm more careful about the light metering on my SLRs, for example, because it's easier with them to get the picture as near right as possible in the first place. I get a little lazy about technique with the digital, because I can always fix contrast in the Olympus interface software -- it works pretty well.

5. Some WDW Photoshops of mine. They're big to show the effect.

7. Here's an infrared photo I took

Black and White infrared tends to turn foliage white. You have to use a red filter and develop it in complete darkness. I did this about 15 years ago.

8. My cousin and his best friend, who got me interested in phtography
used to do IR stuff once in a while, when they had space to do the developing. I hadn't thought about it in years -- I guess I'd definitely have to get a developing lab going at home to do IR photography, though.

Clearly you can get some interesting effects with it!
