Meet Captain G-A -- Cruise ship Captain and Photographer (what a job :)
Edited on Thu May-25-06 04:53 AM by wakeme2008

This is Captain Geir-Arne of the Seabourn Legend and he loves to take pictures. :) I have spent many hours going through his photo albums at http://www.captain-ga.com/ There is something to be said about a job that takes you around the world, and gives you the time to take photos. :)

The above picture of him was taken by a poster on Cruise Critic forum named Norm2002. Norm is a British traveler and photographer that is best known today for his pictures of

The pirate attack on the Seabourn Spirit in Nov 2005. (Norm when a RPG is pointed at you, may I suggest a VR lens or a tripod

Norm has recently put together a video of his pictures on his recent trans-atlantic crossing and I like it It is a tribute to the crew and the last photo is of Captain G-A and his other hobby. http://www.myphotopages.net/legend/index.html LOL on board he did a talk on photography but they did not want him to talk about pirates...

I will be on a sister ship the Pride in Nov. down in the Caribbean and just booked my "In Search of Lost Hobbits Cruise" on the Celebrity Mercury in Dec 2007.... Ah New Zealand... camera...... I can not wait.....

1. Just as long as he doesn't want to specialize...
...in close-up photos of icebergs! (Near, far, whereeeeeeever you are... :eyes: )

...just booked my "In Search of Lost Hobbits Cruise" on the Celebrity Mercury in Dec 2007

I wonder who you'll get as captain for that cruise? It certainly won't be the captain of the Mercury up until last week -- he was busted for what I guess you could call "SUI" up here in Seattle. (Cue the chorus of What Do We Do With A Drunken Sailor? ;-) )

2. LOL all Captains drink at times..
Just NOT in port with US officials onboard. :dunce:

God I hate ships the size of the Mercury but it is doing New Zealand very very well.....

I like the smaller ships and the three Seabourn sisters have a little play time area.
